Little Buddha

This section of town was a common refuge for immigrants from the Chinese-American war, now populated with many East Asian ethnicity enclaves; named for the Buddha statue built near the center of the district.

Little Buddha, officially the South Orobo District, is where many of the refugees from the Chinese-American War settled from East and Southeast Asia. It has a pastiche flavor of several ethnic backgrounds dominated by Chinese and Korean nationals. This area has several street markets and lots of dense apartment living. A variety of east Asian languages and cultures clash mixed with the local Ethiopian flavors, and there are several fusion restaurants mixing both. Plus several fusion fashion stores that are all the rage right now in the region.
