Arturo shielded his eyes as he pulled back his hood. His body stiffened as he took in all the signals surrounding him. Cellphones. Computers,. Wi-Fi. Radio. Bluetooth. Every frequency. He sifted through them all, trying to connect with the armor. He probably couldn't take full control. But, maybe one one command could get through.

His eyes glowed white and staric laced his voice. "STOP!"

It was a good morning for Jakub, he had a good solid breakfast and a text back from his crush. Sure it was just a question about if they had a quiz today or not but it was something. His sister just got that job she was angling for, and she deserved it. He walked to class with his buddies, goofed around.

By lunch time was getting caught up on the latest on tiktok, watched some Lil Disaster content and then hit study hall. Talked to his crush, did some studying and then came home. He had an hour to kill so he knocked out his homework and then went to work, rode his bike and arrived early for once. It was going to be a long shift since he was closing, but it was all good.

People come and go including a foreigner, he was sure, probably European, maybe Greek? He was just in the middle of making some boba for a customer when everything went sideways. People ran in like the world was on fire and then a large mechanized monster smashed through the door… then it went bright and then…

There was nothing.

Pain and then blackness.

Jakub was more smear and tangled flesh than person after the explosion.

Miles goggled as the hard suit exploded, then saw Frankie get caught in the blast. "Oh no! Frankie!"

Teleporting back into the ruined boba tea shop, Miles saw that it was too late to help the unfortunate store employee. He went over to Frankie to see if he could help.

Teleporting back into the ruined boba tea shop, Miles saw that it was too late to help the unfortunate store employee. He went over to Frankie to see if he could help.

Miles can at least put pressure on the wound and keep her from getting worse, until medical support can arrive. But it is enough to get her to start coughing up some blood and open her eyes with a shriek, “Shit… shit… shit… are we…”

There is an explosion of light as her body just explodes with colors and, multiple versions of herself in agony interposed over her body. She floats just above the ground before the light show ends with her blinking, the rebar is gone and she looks okay.

Her clothes are shredded, but she looks okay.

“Did you do that, mate,” she asked.

Others in this place fared much worse.

OOC: Sure she can recover from Incapacitated, she is now Staggered. Now she is A-OK.

Then, he began search and rescue listening for cellphone signals to help locate people.

About 40 eyes widen the instant before Iris eats the full force of the blast, ending up in a bleeding, mangled pile amidst the wreckage.

He got as close as he could, looking for any indication that a survivor might be trapped.

"He... help," a weak voice said in Amharic under the debris.

OOC: They are trapped, DC 15 Strength or Athletics check to move the debris, or Powers check if applicable, Aura 2 on the debris a so Toughness check of 17 to move it.

Miles scanned the city skyline with his Thousand Mile Vision to see if he could spot an emergency room ... or, failing that, one of the ambulances on the way to the scene.

About a minute after enjoying her new instant tan a blood-shot eye opens on the back of Iris' neck, slowly swiveling up to look at Miles.

Rasping: "I'll....be fine. Help baselines...ow...ow...oh this sucks."
The eyes flickers and disappears, but Iris appears to not be actively dying, for whatever reason.
