Elite Comic Universe PBP

The waterfront was calm and beautiful this evening with a great deal of people out to do some shopping and leisure. It was a warm evening in Mudaba Adin. This was the place to be seen and sample some great local restaurants.

People out on dates, bar hopping, and college kids trying to blow off steam. This was the place to be.

OOC: Potentially dangerous scene, open to up to three players Feel free to role play as there is nothing dangerous going on at the start. Things will kick off about 12 to 14 hours from Day 1 start.

Just exactly who was Eric Gibson? Was it that guy? Maybe Eric was a girl’s name? Could be.

She narrowed her eyes at a sus looking toddler, she said to herself, “Maybe this was a baby Hitler situation, yeah?”

She took a sip of her delicious chai and then looked over the rail at the artificial river. She frowned and said, “I’ve seen bigger.”

OOC: Frankie is all-powerful and does not count towards the three players. Fake Frankie does count if they join.

Iris was out people watching and people snapping after a long day hoping it would clear her head.

At least looking out to the ocean was usually peaceful.

She takes a long slurp from a cup of boba in her hand, closing her eyes and letting the tension seep out for a few moments.

Arturo was nearby, speaking with some locals and some tourists. He fluidly switched languages during the conversation, in spite of the translation apps everyone was using. He used his cellphone on,y to take a quick selfie with the group.

"So day 1 at Elite Academy is in the books, TikTok fam," Miles said into his phone camera as he filmed himself with the river and the glittering city lights of the waterfront as a photogenic background. "I moved in and met some new housemates. Thought there would be some reality show challenges, but no one has tried to give out roses, or tiki torches, or stripped us naked and dropped us in the wilderness. Not that anyone wants that!" He shuddered.

"No one's explained the rules, but I'm guessing this first episode is low on action because it's where everyone gets introduced and the housemates start to form alliances and rivalries," Miles conjectured. "I'm sure the producers will want to stir up some drama soon, though. So stay tuned, TikTok fam! Be sure to like and subscribe!"

Wait she recognized some of these faces… well that and the camera man that tried to stay out of the way. Should she do something? They were supposed to act like the camera wasn’t there which made her want to act like they were there and do something.

She said aloud to the other Elites in the area, “Are you nerds following me, yeah?”

It turns out if you suck tapioca through a straw in just the right way it can sound like 'god no'.

An odd slurping sound drew Arturo's attention. He looked around and noticed the others.

Iris lowers her drink, taking half a second to parse the British slang.

"Yes, I came to the waterfront to quietly enjoy the sunset and at the same time to have a laugh. I'm quirky like that."

An eye opens on her cheek and narrows itself as Frankie.

Iris seems to relax after a few moments and tilts her head back down the waterfront a ways.

"Taipei house there, they got 12 different kinds of milk and I think even 2-3 taste nice."
Pause.

Somewhat awkwardly. "And uhh, how are you doing, Frankie? Long day, eh?"

“Not so long, just got a lot on me mind,” she said walking towards the Taipai House. “Bruv, I need some Boba.”

A line of eyes open and ripple down one side of Iris' cheek as she blanches at something.

"Oh shit. Uh, yeah you know what, let me come with you, they speak Hokkien with a real authentic accent, I can help with any translation."

Iris will do her best to firmly grab Frankie's arm and steer the other woman:

(a) Away from the crowd as much as possible
(b) Somewhere undercover so she doesn't get vaporised in a possible future.

She looks at the woman with confusion. “Bruv, you must really like this boba, and what’s a Hokken, yeah?”

Frankie was kind of impossible to ignore, regardless of which one this might be. Arturo looked over at her and Iris, wondering what was going on.
