[D5, ME] Convergence of the Plane

[Uri-el]

It being the messenger's role to disseminate information, Uri-el chose to begin the process of unveiling the DRC plot with the person he suspected was quietly but firmly at the nexus of the Get Things Done coalition. A simple request for a meeting at the Ramesseum--a coffee and gift shop with a kitschy Egyptian theme--had been sent. And now the angel waited, trying not to look important.

[Galatea]

Galatea came in the coffee shop like the sun at twilight. She wore what appeared to be an oddly conservative charcoal
long dress.

But on further inspection one would notice that the fabric was very light which made it hug parts of her body in fashionably revealing ways.

"Hey there Feathers" she said as a way of greeting when she sat down, phone in hand

He would get a text

Act natural, these messages will be deleted a few seconds after they are read

"Hello," he ventured. Then: "Oh! I have received a text. One moment."

He pulled out his phone and took a look.

Since people expected a certain degree of awkward stiffness from Malik, he supposed natural would not be too challenging.

I think I understand. Thank you for coming.

"Will you have coffee?"

[Galatea]

''Oh, yes. I had one not long ago but this day has been very long'' She looked around ''This is your kind of place...what do you recommend?''

No problem. What is this about?

[Uri-el]

"There is coffee that is grown locally which is considered very good. But if you do not mind sweetness, there is Ahwa Turki, which it seems everyone drinks back home when they are not drinking espresso and lattes like everyone else."

I thought an information exchange might be useful in generating some positive change in the area. I have the following:
1) We found Kagumbo's yacht/aircraft carrier
2) She was behind the suit attack on the waterfront.
3) We are considering ways to detain or stop her.
4) I have some leads on Brass Orchid also.

I do not know or understand: nearly anything about Frankie Reynes, Gibson, and the multiverse situation.

[Galatea]

''Ah...turkish coffee, right? I'll take that for sure''

1. Kagumbo works with Gibson and infinite Horizons
2. They have teleportation technology and a powerful AI to boot
3. They are after the Frankies
4. Alternate realities research was a focus of the DCP regime

[Uri-el]

Malik signaled the owner for 2 coffees.

"So...you are going to the party this evening?"

Do we know what their intention is with the Frankies? Or in general?

[Galatea]

''Oh, of course. You couldn't keep me away from it''

Unknown, likely about the alternate reality aspects of their existence...studying it seems their focus. To what end? I do not know for weal and woe is left to the Fates

[Uri-el]

"How lovely. I have acquired a costume that allows for my...self. I am curious what the others will wear."

I feel some confidence that we can remove Kagumbo from the equation. But what that will do to destabilize Gibson's work, and the result of that, is unclear. Further, I perceive PANTHEON at the edges of this, and I am not sure what their aim will be.

[Galatea]

''A world of possibilities though I know what Arturo will wear.''

The same things they always want: more. Kagumbo possesses a lot of resources and weapons...teleportation technology would be dangerous in their hands as well

[Uri-el]

"Oh? And what is that?"

There's another party. Zara, goes occasionally by Street Witch. She has contacts with a larger organization with easy cash and significant clout in the underworld. I have her number, if you can do something with that.

[Galatea]

''You'll have to see'' she replied with a grin

I'll have to verify

[Uri-el]

Uri-el blinked once. "How...playful." He chewed that word for a moment. Let it hang in the air. "Thank you."

Understood. It's [insert number here]

[Galatea]

''Why thank me?''

Be on guard, they might be enemies but it does not mean they are our allies

[Uri-el]

"Playfulness has never been a significant part of my life. It was kind of you to share it with me. Not that I know how to respond, exactly."

[Galatea]

She raised an eyebrow in disbelief

''Bloody hell. How were you raised exactly?''

[Uri-el]

"Cloistered is the word, I think. My parents saw...this." He gestured at himself, the fire, the wings. "And adjusted their plans to fit. Private tutor, lots of prayer and physical training. Self-denial. And people do not find it easy to speak to me, normally. I can attract a certain kind of attention."

[Galatea]

''At some point that could be considered abuse. A teen that sprouts flaming wings is not the craziest thing that can happen nowadays.''

She tilted her head ''Is your name really Uri-el?''

[Uri-el]

"I am named Malik Bekhit el-Eskandarani. Uri-el is what the people call me when I am making the news. And you? You are Galatea all of the time?"

[Galatea]

''Mostly, yes.'' That was mostly the truth, indeed. ''You might want to change your hero name though. Being named after a litteral abrahamic angel when those religion are widely practiced is not super great is you want to fit in.''
