Camilo put a comforting hand on top of hers and smiled, "I think your sacred paints are beautiful. Don't worry about what others do or don't do. Grab hold of what's important to you and don't let go. Plus, blending in is overrated. No?" He adds while smoothing out his mustache.

"Clowns are mostly for entertainment here, but so many things are and are still well respected. We should check out some cirque du soleil if you haven't seen it yet."

[Dapper Dog]

She nodded and said, "I am guessing Cirque de Soleil means something else here, yeah?" She added, "Bruv, from where I'm from they lead the great crusade against the Mimish and have become legends."

[Camilo Batista]

"Oh, we are definitely finding you some cirque. If there's not a live show around here, we can watch some on the internet.

The Mimish, was this like another faction or a person? An Elite who misused their powers? I want to know more about your world, about what drives you."

[Dapper Dog]

She blanched and made a face saying with disgust, "Mimes, bruv... accursed, demon worshiping mimes."

Demons... Well, they had their own resident angel. Although he wasn't actually an angel.

Demonic Elites? A problem for Clownverse Camilo he supposed.

"Was this crusade in your lifetime or in the past? Was it caused by the emergence? Are you emerged?" As the questions started to flow, Camilo realized just how little he knew about Frankie III and the world she came from. It was no small difference between their alternate realities. Apparently entire wars were fought there between who were considered trivial and outdated entertainers here. It'd be like TikTokers and Instagramers fighting it out on the streets, which he would be more inclined to watch than TikTok or Instagram.

“No, bruv, this was like the Second Clownish wars time, the Mimes rose to power and started a genocide it’s a whole thing. Before the acceptance of most clown branches of the faith. I sucked at history, yeah. But yeah it was a long time ago, yah,” she admitted.

“Emergence?” she asked. “You comin’ out of somethin’?”

Oh, Camilo has assumed the Institute would've filled her in on some of this. Well, this was only the third day she's been in this universe.

"Emergence, it's what we call it when people come into their powers. Powers like Frankie One's that brought you here. I emerged when I was twelve and now I can heal people. Was there anything like that in your world?"

[Dapper Dog]

“Oh yeah, we don’t have… anything like that, people don’t fly or shoot lasers or do whatever other Frankie does, yeah,” she admitted.

[Camilo Batista]

Camilo looked shocked, "Wow. so when you dove into that water and saved me, you had no powers. All the others from your world that jumped into action and saved people after the tsunami did haven't any powers and didn't know it was a simulation. That is amazing. That is truly heroic. It makes me think your world is a very special place."

[Dapper Dog]

"Bruv, if we did nothing people would have died... or might not have, given it was a simulation but if felt real," she said.

[Camilo Batista]

"And by doing something, you also could have died. One of the first rules of water rescue is save yourself before you can save others. There are plenty of people, most people actually, who wouldn't risk themselves for someone else. At least that's how it is here."

[Dapper Dog]

"It's what I trained for," she said thoughtfully. "If that is rare, it shouldn't be."

[Camilo Batista]

"What kind of training is that?" He asked before taking a long sip from his papaya smoothie.

[Dapper Dog]

She ate more burger and said, “I wanted to join the military, yeah, but then I ended up working as a lifeguard and then went into coastal rescue. Not exactly the goal but it felt right, yeah? You got stuff like that here right?”

[Camilo Batista]

"We have something similar. No Brasil, our navy does these things, but many countries have a coastal rescue that is separado. I think I am very lucky that you chose to save lives instead of take them.

I heard from the others that if you died in the simulation, you woke up on the outside, but dying was not my problem. I think I could not have taken much more trapped in the water like that."

[Dapper Dog]

"Bruv, that's morbid, init, how'd you handle that?" she said with concern.

[Camilo Batista]

Camilo shook his head. "I won't lie or hide behind bravado, it was pretty bad. I've been through a lot in my life, but that may be the worst." He set his hamburger down, his appetite waning for the moment.

"When I heal people, I take their injuries, their pain and suffering. When I was younger, I fell in with the gang, the narcos. I would heal them when they got injured and they got injured a lot, so I got injured a lot. Gun shot wounds, knife wounds, burns, everything you could think of. The simulation, the pain was bad but not the worst. I think being stuck there, unable to do anything. That was the worst for me."

[Dapper Dog]

“So.. wait, wot, when you heal people, yeah? You take on the injuries you heal with your power thing, mate? That’s like… like a sin eater thing right? Think i read about that … people eat the sins of others and you are cleansed or something. Heresy, but yeah old folks were weird, yeah,” she said.

“But wow, I am not sure I could put myself through that.”

"I like that. I have not heard of this before, the sin eater, but I like it."

A smile started coming back to his face. "I am glad to put myself through it now, so that others do not have to suffer so much. These are all pains that I am used to, things I have felt over and over so it is not much of a thing anymore. No? To the me now, it is just a small burden." The warm smile on his face shifted into a smirk, "And I will let you in on a little secret. I do not just take the injuries and make them go away. I hold on to them. I save them for later for when I need them."

"I am not sure I understand that mate, what do you mean hold onto them?" she asked.
