[Camilo Batista]

Camilo showed up wearing a black and white striped shirt, a bandito mask and hat, and a cape several sizes too small.

He scanned the crowd, looking for Frankie III.

[Dapper Dog]

Frankie wore ripped jeans and a t-shirt with zip-up hoodie and her painted face as usual. She looks around trying to take everything in and said, “Bruv, so what’s good here?”

“Nice… costume, yeah, what’s the occasion?”

[Camilo Batista]

"It's uh, Halloween. Do they not celebrate Halloween where you're from?" Camilo was a bit dumbstruck on seeing her. Just as beautiful as the day (two days ago) she'd plucked him out of his watery early grave.

"And tomorrow is Dia de Todos os Santos and the next day is Dia de Finados. But those are more South American Catholic holidays. Although they are supposed to have some origin in Africa, so maybe there will be something similar here?"

[Dapper Dog]

“Shit, it is, innit, I kind of have not been payin’ attention to the dates,” she admitted. “Yeah we got Halloween, mate. Sexy costumes, lots of beer, yeah. Ghost and Goblins, bruv.”

“Oh? I think back… home, we had stuff like that. What’s Dia de Finados? Like what do you do?”

[Camilo Batista]

"Dia de Finados is Day of the Dead or All Souls Day. We celebrate and honor the dead. Visit graves, offer prayers and such. It is a very beautiful thing."

A thought occurred to Camilo, "Was it close to Halloween for you before you came here? Like did getting pulled into our universe also take you through time?'

[Dapper Dog]

“It was like July, mid July,” she admitted. “So yeah I guess it did, I really had not considered that, everything is so scrambled, init? Another thing to keep me up at night.”

“So we goin’ to the cemetery, yeah to celebrate the Souls day, mate?”

[Camilo Batista]

Time travel huh. It almost seemed normal with everything else going on.

"We could go to a cemetery on Tuesday, if they have anything going on here. I don't have anyone I know who would be buried locally. In Rota on Dia de Finados, they had a little festival that the church put on.

But tonight, I've got some plans for us if you're game. Sexy costumes, beers, maybe the goblins and the ghosts too. If you want to dress up in something red, I've got an idea for a costume. If you want to really go for a themed costume, we could pick out some even more specific."

[Dapper Dog]

"Wot, fo' real? Shit yeah, mate," she agreed. "I have been dyin' to do somethin', anything, yeah."

[Camilo Batista]

"Desculpe. I should have checked in on you yesterday. I just thought you might need a day to settle in. There was so much that happened Friday. No?

How have you been settling in? Has the Institute been helpful?"

[Dapper Dog]

“I got a place to stay, and I think they are trying to help, but I am not sure what they can do, init. I might sign up for courses, and just settle in that I am stuck here,” she said honestly.

[Camilo Batista]

Camilo look saddened by the news. "There's no way to send you back?"

While he wasn't exactly clawing at the opportunity to go back to Rio, he knew the heartache of being unable to return home.

[Dapper Dog]

“I mean unless you have a way to send people to an alternate dimension, yeah? Frankie, other Frankie, don’t have a clue, bruv. So just have to do what I can to not go mad,” she said with a shrug.

She started eating and said, “Fucking wot, this is good.”

No, that was definitely not in his powerset. Frankie I's flounderings had brought this suffering onto Frankie III. He remembered back to the interview yesterday morning. Just how well could he trust Frankie I?

He turned that frown upside down when Frankie III started enjoying her food, glad that he'd brought her here. "Yeah, I've had it a few times," he said, taking a bite of his own burger. "They make good food here. No? It's really hard to not come here and pig out. There's better food sure, but not as cheap and convenient."

He let Frankie III eat some more before going back to conversation, "So what kind of foods do you like? Is the food here very different for you?" He probably should've asked some of these questions inviting her out to eat, but he was always a man of action over planning.

[Dapper Dog]

"Pretty similar mate, mostly," she admitted. "Never been to Ethiopia though, so who knows, bruv. It ain't as rich as it is here, mate. I'm pretty much a fatass, yeah, I'll eat anything," she joked.

"You?"

[Camilo Batista]

"I like all kinds of food. Anything that's spiced nicely.

And I've only been in Ethiopia for about... three or four months now. Before that I was in Spain for a year and before that here and there in South America. Did you stay mostly in England?

[Dapper Dog]

“Yeah, mostly, I was on holiday when all the madness went down, first time really. Felt it would be a good tribute to me ma and pa, they died when i was young, yeah,” she admitted.

“Where in South America?” she asked.

[Camilo Batista]

"Sinto muito pela sua perda... I'm sorry for your loss. If you want, we can honor them on Tuesday, Dia de Finados.

And uh, eu sou do Rio de Janiero no Brasil. And spent a little bit in Uruguay while I was working my way to Rota."

[Dapper Dog]

"Yeah, that would be nice, mate," she replied. "You have traveled a lot, bruv. I envy you."

[Camilo Batista]

"Well, I think you win the prize for who has traveled the furthest. No?" He said with a laugh before getting more serious. "It is still very early. Frankie One may not have or know of a way to get you home now, but that could change. Or we could find another way. There's this scientist, Eric Gibson. He's working on something that's related to going between universes. It's dangerous, like blow up existence kind of dangerous, but it's proof there are other ways.

In the meantime, it sounds like you really needed that holiday and now you're in a place with no other obligations. You could make the most of that and do some traveling of your own. No?"

[Dapper Dog]

“Wot, yeah that is probably true, how far is it to another dimension, yeah?” she said, chuckling at that realization. “So I was lookin’ yeah, and I noticed that I guess clowns are just entertainment here? Which is odd but I get it, different universe, different rules? I just wonderin’, bruv, should I keep the sacred paints, or should I try to blend in, yeah?” she asked honestly.
