Frozen farmlands (Pregame Tues 10th AM)

Shadow was a very early morning person, she'd been up since before the sun had risen and spent the early morning sitting outside watching the sun rise. It had taken a little convincing for her to get in the car but eventually she agreed and they were on their way outside the main city into far rural areas. The girl wasn't comfortable about being in such a confined space and had sat as close to the door as possible while seatbelted and with the window down, but she looked more comfortable once the city was in the rear view mirror.

Much like the previous day she had her backpack, and she wore the large black hoodie and jeans. It's almost like that's all she owned.

Special Agent Forester was not a morning person, she had her coffee and played moderately loud music, modern pop music which she hummed along with or mouthed the words. After about an hour she finally seemed to be awake enough for conversation and said, “Almost there. You get enough sleep? I was dead to the world after I finished some work.”

There was a small turn of the head at the question, or at least a turn of the hood.

"The couch was fine, I slept up until sunrise and then watched that. It was enough sleep, thank you."

She turned back to looking out of the window.

"This is pretty far out."

[Dapper Dog]

“It’s a safehouse and farm, I have used this location for work and the isolation works for that. So people should not be bothering you. Got any idea how you will fill your free time?” she responded.

There was a shrug.

"Writing. Learning the machines. I can fly so I can go around anyway, but I'm better on my own anyway with my own thoughts. What did you do when you were here anyway? Can't imagine the signal is great out here."

She glanced at the young Elite and said calmly, "My work was classified."

At the mention of service she responded, "Actually it's good we have a private wireless network connection, I don't understand the tech, but it's good. Probably better than our distant neighbors. I guess you could binge all day as long as you keep the maintenance up."

[Frozen Shadow]

"No thank you. I don't like using things that can track me" she replied to that with a well hidden frown "so you went all the way out here for classified work huh. Must have been very secretive then."

There was a small shrug.

"How weatherproof is it?"

She gets a distant look at the mention of her work and responded, “Different times, back then.”

“You’re not going to be getting soaked when the rainy season sets in. It’s sturdier than it looks and dry on the inside. It has all the basic amenities, nothing like the Village but you won’t be roughing it,” she said.

“Well there is a small library of books, it’s been collected over the years from various sources.”

"Do they get blizzards out here?"

A small pause before she added "books are cool, I can go through those."

[Dapper Dog]

“No, not at all, not here anyways,” she responded. “Rain, winds, but no snow out here. So if decide to change things up… someone is gonna notice.”

She maneuvers her car from the main road onto a dirt and gravel road and said, “Almost there.”

There was a nod-like movement.

"Noted. Will keep snowfall to the minimum."

She sat up a little more to peek out of the windows.

"So far out there's not even good roads."

[Dapper Dog]

“That’s the sign of a good horror movie, maybe it’s my safe house maybe it’s my murder house,” she joked.

“Hey, you wanted some isolation.”

There was a look at the woman.

"I don't think you would. But yeah, this is great. Quiet, far from people. Somewhere to escape when things are too much."
