Here she comes (pregame, monday the 9th)

[Galatea]

Galatea took her leisure getting out of the automated taxi that brought her to the institute. Her summer dress, white laced with gold, gently danced in the wind as she observed the Institute design for a moment.

She struck quite the figure

Or so would the man tumbling over the railing to fall face first into a lower shrub after refusing to take his eyes off of her might indicate.

She sighed and moved on towards the reception.

[Dapper Dog]

This area was busy with activity, not the least of which were staff and students tending to the poor lad who took a tumble for love. Thankfully everything was moving in an orderly chaotic fashion. As she walked through the large hall a holographic image appeared beside of a woman, actually there were, mutliple such images talking with other staff and students throughout the hall.

They smiled and said in whatever language Galatea preferred, “Galatea, welcome to the Institute. How can I be of service, oh just call me Adina.”

OOC: I feel like ADINA sounds like Tricia Helfer.

Galatea gave the apparition a genuine smile, removing her sunglasses to take better note of the hologram's shimmer.

''Good morning Adina'' she says with a slight tilt of her head ''I am here to enroll to the university and the contest, I was told it was still possible?''

Sitting perched up on a nearby wall (with the faintest trace of a smile at the tumbling man, that'd made for an excellent shot) Iris sighed quietly before raising her camera and taking a quick shot of the Golden woman as she spoke to the hologram.

After a moment she glanced down at the photo preview on her camera, then back at the distant figure.
"Huh."

She shrugs, guessing it was pretty cool all things considered.

Galatea gave the apparition a genuine smile, removing her sunglasses to take better note of the hologram's shimmer.

''Good morning Adina'' she says with a slight tilt of her head ''I am here to enroll to the university and the contest, I was told it was still possible?''

“I can get the process started for your enrollment in the institution, and I can get you in contact with Mister Tegele. Do you need a list of coursework or do you have a preferred discipline you would like to study? You are in luck Mister Tegele has an opening in his schedule. He can see you in approximately fifteen minutes,” the hologram responded.

[Thousand Miles]

An Asian teenager goggled as Galatea entered the reception area, then whipped out a cell phone. Frowning for a moment, he vanished, then reappeared with a *peng* several meters to the right, where he could get a better camera angle.

“What’s up, TikTok fam?” Miles said into the phone in English, flashing a bunny ears hand sign. “You’ll never believe it but the amazing Galatea just walked into the UNJE building.” He raised the phone a little higher to capture the supermodel’s golden visage over his shoulder, along with the hologram she was speaking to. “Is she here for the UNJE contest too? Maybe! Yes, it looks like it! You heard it here first, TikTok! Like and subscribe!”

For an unknown reason Galatea's eyes glanced in Iris's direction for a fraction of a second before continuing her conversation with Adina. She did not react to Miles, for now.

''That would be very precious of you Adina, I am thankful for your aide.'' She mused a second about the courses ''Is it possible to do courses à la carte for a degree? Perhaps there can be some classes I a do remotely should the need arise?''

[Markus Reed]

Her keen senses picks out many small details, minuscule cameras and observation drones, the janitorial drones that keep the structure immaculate and even a stationary security unit using optical camouflage watching from the ceiling.

Another student bumps into her looking down at his phone and tumbles to the ground in a heap. He looked up from under his long dark hair and said, “Ah shit, sorry, I was trying to sort out my rolls… got zeroed… again. I am never gonna get an epic pull.”

“It is possible though I would recommend a program to follow, remote study is available for much of our coursework. Virtually, online, or even through satellite locations if needed for the general degree, your choices are much more limited when it comes to the Institute due to the unique coursework offered for our Elite students,” they responded.

“What is your area of interest you would like to study, or if you prefer and consent I can build an individualized plan for you,” the hologram responded.

He took her hand and stood and added, “And thanks, you new here?”

"He's a regular Joker."
Iris gives him a look, although it's not actually hostile.

"Nah, this is my second year. Loved it so much I just had to come back, you know?"
Now that had the tone of a look.
"Guess it's not actually that bad, if you like the sun and weird stuff, and I enjoy one of those two."

She takes a half second to flick her eyes over Markus top to bottom.
"You look new. You one of those 'here for the elites' kids or one of those 'here for the degree' kids?"

The hologram gives her a slight quizzical look and responded in the normal warm tone, “Confidentiality is important to the UNJE and for our students. You should receive a message momentarily with your coursework, syllabi, and directions to each class. There are also approximate times you should leave your current residence to arrive on time. Much of your general coursework on the University campus will be remote to avoid any complications.”

The message arrived on her mobile and the hologram added, “Kim Jun-Min will be your assigned advisor.”

''Wonderful'' she replied pleasantly, quite curious about the course she was given ''Could I eventually add extra classes, if time allows?''

She reached for her phone to see her messages

''And what can you tell me about this Kim Jun-Min?''

He took her hand and stood and added, “And thanks, you new here?”

"You look new. You one of those 'here for the elites' kids or one of those 'here for the degree' kids?"

“Yeah, I did a summer program for Dr. Patel and did some work on upgrading ADINA, well I participated. It was like a whole new world from Cali, and I am still getting used to, like, the food… and so many things. I am just glad the dorms have private bathrooms,” he replied.

“Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering; with a side hustle of Benevolent Hacking,” he joked.

She reached for her phone to see her messages

''And what can you tell me about this Kim Jun-Min?''

“Customization is always possible, Galatea,” they responded. To the question about the advisor the hologram said, “Kim Jun-Min is an experienced Elite advisor, she has been with the Institute since we opened our doors. You are in good hands and I have already added you to her appointment schedule, she says she is looking forward to discussing your academic and professional goals in great detail.”

Extending her hand.
"I'm Iris, shoot me your contact details with whatever crazy tech nonsense you got going and hit me up if you need any help settling in with stuff. It can be a lot. I'm a photography major so if I'm not developing or lounging around bored somewhere you'll see me out and about campus."
