Alright Frankie girl, she thought to herself, you are here now and people seem to think you are some cool Elite and now you have this sweet dorm and have a chance at a free education. Just have to fake it till I make it she thought to herself.

Frankie put her backpack on the bed and sighed with contentment. The door was ajar to her room as she was a bit shocked that this was all actually happening.

A wave of heat drove the cool air from the hall through the doorway as somebody (covered in feathers?) walked by.

"402, 404...can't be far" it muttered.

“Whoa, are those real?” she said in the Good King's British English rushing to the door and poking her head out. “Like of course they are because like… you’re an Elite and me too… nice. So, hello.”

Frankie was nose-deep in a folder as she walked, still thinking to herself how stupid of a question that was... what if she lost a key? She didn't *need* keys! But also, that was totally not the important thing to be thinking about right now. The more important thing was that she had no idea what was going on. But then, that was also just the normal state of things, so what else was new?

If she was here, then she was probably *supposed* to be here. Or something. Or maybe it was all just random; which she thought was equally as likely. Or unlikely.

"Pause..."

...got to side-step that goldfish that just fell from the sky while screaming like a banshee before going splat right in front of her.

"...Not cool," she muttered as it dissipated into nothingness, "I didn't flop like that. Unless that wasn't supposed to be a re-enaction. Okay, un-pause."

She entered the building and started to find her way around. Then she got lost. Then she remembered she could just teleport to wherever she wanted. All she had to do was *believe*.

"Okay... I'm thinking of a number... and it's my room number!"

Then she disappeared from whatever random hallway she was in, and appeared inside her dorm room, facing away from the door that someone else was presently peering out of, oblivious to their presence for just right now as she looked around the parts of the room that she *could* see from her current facing position.

"Knackers, not bad I guess," she declared loudly in her totally definitely probably unique voice.

Passive vocabulary being what it is, Malik is able to grok Frankie's lingo sharpish. But it takes him a hot second to drag up his active English to respond. "Hello," he says at last in the refined accent of the Egyptian coast, "um...yes, my name is Malik Bekhit el-Eskandarani," the name rolls off the tongue in a way the un-mastered English simply cannot match. "How do you do?" He's about 80% sure that's the next step in the sequence.

Malik's eyelids blinked over the bright flames that are his eyes. "Oh shit!" he said in surprise.

"Oh shit!" She exclaimed as she heard two 'oh shit''s in rapid succession, "I'm... in the wrong..."

She slowly turned around to look at... herself?

"...room?"

Malik's surprise waxes quizzical. "There are two," he says quietly, somewhat uncertain of his part in this strange development.

Frankie walks towards her doppelganger and said, “Yeah you are in the bloody wrong room. This is for me, Frankie Reynes. You wanna go, you gonna rob me you gonna have to throw down!”

She stops short of punching distance and added gesturing to Malik, “Be chill though or my friend Hakuna Matata here will beat your ass.”

"Stay back, witch!" She took a step backwards at the same time, and reached into her... whatever it was... thinking of anything she could use as a makeshift weapon.

She just held out her hand, which seemingly disappeared in mid-air for a moment, before she retracted it along with... a hair-dryer. A hair-dryer? Really? Yes, really. But it was an off-putting neon-green color and seemed to come equipped with a built in muzak-while-you-dry-hair function, with a big Bosh logo.

At the same time, some kind of weird *energy* started to flow around her; her hair moving slightly along with it.

"I... I know how to use this!" she exclaimed, waving the hairdryer around menacingly.

"Who are you really, and what have you done with my face?"

The glowing and the menacing hair dryer made her stumble backwards toward Malik, “Michael Bay save me!”

At a loss and very confused, Malik backed up. "Are there two of you?" A trope of twins separated at birth bubbled up from his memory. "Twins? Family should not fight in public."

"What?"

She looked briefly at 'Michael Bay', who was apparently some kind of angel, but that was hardly that unusual. She knew at least like three guys down in Southwark alone who had wings. So between the three of them, that was basically the same thing as the six this guy was sporting. None of them were on fire, true, but there were lots of people who were on fire like all the time. Some of them were even superpowered, instead of just very unfortunate.

"Twins? Nah bruv, I don't have no twin sister! She's a witch! Must be! A witch that done stole my face!"

"How dare you insult me in front of Michael Bay," she responded. "And I am sorry but a witch, Halloween is in like two months. I think."

"Put down that hair dryer before someone gets hurt."

"Fine," she said, hesitating, "I'll put this deadly weapon away..."

She threw it off to the side, and allowed it to vanish completely.

"...but only because I don't need it to lay the hurt down. So start talking, not-a-witch. Who are you really and why do you have my face? I've already done the cloning episode, I can't do that *again*."

She looking back at the guy for a moment. "And you, are you with her, Michael Bay was it?"

“Yeah he’s my boyfriend, Michael Bay, he’s the hardest dude on campus bruv. And cloning episode, are you like talking about a movie or something? Cause honey I am not a clone, Frankie is the real deal. Not my fault you trying to copy my look.”

Seeing the deadly weapon vanish she said, “I’m Frankie, Frankie Reynes, and I go here for school because I… I’m an Elite. Duh, I got cool powers too. And my boyfriend is totally cool too he’s like fire and wings, we are literally couple goals, IRL.”

“He’s not used to such public displays of affection,” she corrected looking to Malik for support.

Malik was at a loss. Boyfriend had a nice ring to it, of course (Michael Bay less so), but this was clearly some sort of ploy and he did not intend to get dragged into a fight between two identical twins on day 1, even if they insisted that they were not twins. Family is family, after all. Best for an outsider to step away. But to leave someone high and dry in their moment of need (if that is really...I mean, the hairdryer had been put away...) would not be proper.

"I do not completely understand this situation." That had the virtue of being true. This was murkier than the East Harbor. "But I am relieved that the hairdryer has been put away."

"Oh...em... gee," she said, blinking before shaking her head.

"I would *never* hashtag couple goals! Allow it. Anyway, now listen here!"

It started to rain sprinkles outside. But *only right outside* this *particular* room's window.

"*I'm* Frankie Reynes, London Free Citystate local, yeah? I got like a folder right 'ere that says this is my room and everything, given to me by that hologram lady, and I'm taking something calling Graphic Design, which is like, I don't know what that's about, but I know that I'm the real Frankie, because of how I am."
