Julia created a telekinetic forcefield around herself, she was not swift but her field was strong enough to keep the beams from hitting her. She said, “Not sure it matters, mate.”

Gauss quickly moves out the way to avoid the blast. "Fine, no time to argue. Just make sure to get out if you're too hurt." The blast was a surprise and nearly knocked him aside, but Gauss managed to gain some footing and rolled with the blast to avoid the damage.

Gauss charged in right behind her and punched one of them.. "I'll do my best, chica." He did what he could to hide his smile as he charged into the fray and connected his fist directly into the closest one.

Gauss is able to punch and knock the aliens into submission, they are not prepared for the offensive the two elites are able to put together. Julia keeps them pinned with her telekinetic storm while Gauss beats them with his powers.

They clear the street of the enemies and force the alien chock troopers to retreat and regroup.

There is a brief calm and then another aerial assault from the gigantic craft in the sky, another gravitic shock weapon but this time it seemed to have an EMP component to disable the machinery and equipment of any forces trying to resist.

OOC: Dodge DC of 17 for the Gravity weapon, if failed Toughness Save of 23 if they succeed a Toughness save of 19.

Also a Fortitude save vs DC 15 or be Hindered until their next action, gravity wave weighing them down. Alien EMP Pulse check +10 | 1d20+10 ⇒ 24 so need an opposed Power check or Will defense vs a Dc of 24, use whichever is higher.

Julia's forcefield protected her form the bulk of the attack but still she was definitely being pushed to her limits.

His forcefield begins to waiver from the electromagnetic pulse as the sudden shift in energy began to throw him off his game. This time he wasn't able to save himself from the blast and rode it all the way. He stopped floating, his shield started to sputter off and he dusted himself off to look around. "Hey...chicha...you're going to have to do this alone for a minute. Need to reboot myself, eh?

Gauss didn't float this time, but did high tail his way downward to the subway to help the others...well, in some small way. He needed a minute for his powers to reseet; laws of physics and all that.

Even with implausible abilities, those laws had to be obeyed. Even in this digital landscape.

The group reconvenes in the subway, Ayana was trying to organize a defense or at least make a barricade, behind them was a mess of twisted metal where one of the subways had run into another, there was some smoke and many wounded. The people were trying to do a makeshift rescue effort for the wrecked subway trains to try and find any wounded.

A most glorious last stand as the alien forces converge on the survivors, the elites will have to band together to survive the scenario. The aliens are relentless as his “powers” reboot and Gauss is ready for round two.

OOC: Make a Toughness check at DC 20 to try and survive but there will be many casualties for the civilians, they would need to get success by three degrees or better to save everyone. The aid from Ayana and Julia grants a +2 circumstance bonus to this check.

As soon as his abilities flickered back up, he quickly raised his magnetic field around himself and, with the support of others, really pushed himself to block the blasts. He couldn't save everyone with this, but he gave it his all to make sure that some did.

The fighting is brutal and the lien soldiers give no quarter, they seem to make it their mission to spread terror attacking civilian and Elite with equal abandon and it is sruggle to keep people alive. The pain feels real, they can even smell the blood and the heat of the weapons.

But they prevail, though Ayana is shaky on her feet, Julia got into her rhythm and was brutally smashing aliens into pulp with her powers. The violence was a bit over the top but she enjoyed giving into her gae, or it appeared as such.

In the calm moment the AI appeared and said, “Congratulations you have survived this scenario with 52.8% of your survivors, that is a better than expected result. Please depart from the scenario and the medical staff will see you.”
