Arturo set the chest piece down on a table in one of the labs. Not much of it had survived the explosion, but there might be enough to learn something or repurpose it. A full analysis was necessary first, with thorough documentation.

This was evidence. He wasn't familiar with ,ocal laws, but Arturo doubted the police would appreciate that he had taken it. The would have eventuality brought it here, wouldn't they?

Markus was present working on a project for Dr. Patel and asked, "Arturo, what's up?"

"This came from the suit that attacked the waterfront last night." He explained. "I'm trying to learn whatever I can about it."

“No shit,” Markus said rolling his chair to look at the recovered chest piece. He said, “Whoa that’s cool. How did you get this?”

“Were you there?”

"Yeah. I tried to stop thr self-destruct. But, I only delayed it for a second." He explained.

“Shit,” he said with awe. “You okay man?”

"The explosion hit me hard, but I'm alright now." he answered. "Better than some of the bystanders."

There was a pause before he continued. "The battle armor was being controlled remotely. It was targeting someone. Anything we can learn about it can be helpful."

“Well that’s a lot already, remote controlled, probably a virtual haptic interface?” he started looking over the object and added, “This is pretty resistant material I would have to analyze it for sure but this is military grade. Better than what you could probably get locally.”

“Any chance you have an idea of who was controlling it?”

"Yeah. I saw her when I connected with it." he nodded. He described her in great detail.

“That’s… whoa, she sounds intense. Well my initial guess probably hardware from the DCP military, or was from it. Maybe someone out there is still making these units?” he responded.

“My best guess.”

“Well it could have been one of the DCP splinter groups, just spit balling,” he said looking at the chest piece.

“I could maybe check the dark web on the low, this seems pretty important to you.”

"I'm sure you have your own projects to tend to. What have you been working on?" He asked.

“Home work and Dr. Patel keeps me busy, going through ancillary code for many of ADINA’s satellite functions… guessing about fifteen million lines of code. Give or take?”

“Thankfully I am a super genius, UNJE words, not mine. Also been trying to stay caught up with my anime.”

"I can always help you code. I may not be a super genius, but I'm good with code." He offered.

“Man, yeah that would be great. How’s the whole Faraday thing working? I can’t really follow up, they don’t like non-contestants in the house now that filming started,” he asked.

"It's perfect." he smiled. "Even with the door open, the shielding blocks most signals. It makes sleeping much more comfortable."

"Nice."

He was pleased that it worked and then added, "Hey, I did some searching while we chatted and here are some not schematics but I found some details on that suit you fought. It's definitely DCP, called a Bushman Hardsuit MK II. I can send you what I found."

"Please. Thank you." he nodded. "I wonder if I could make one of my own..."

“If you got a few million… sure,” he joked. “Wait, are you serious?”
