[D5, MN] Data and Suppositions

Uri-el had slipped the note quietly and surreptitiously. Hopefully, Miles had located the thing and they could get down to the real nitty gritty.
He stood stock-still on a path about 50 feet from a pond, burning quietly with anticipation and, you know, actual fire.

A few minutes later, Thousand Miles appeared with a *peng* as he teleported into the Refuge. He still wore the tuxedo and mask from the earlier gala.
"Uri-el? You wanted to talk about something more?" Miles asked. He spoke passable Arabic with a hint of a British accent.

Malik felt much more comfortable in his every day language. The words came very quickly.
"There have been some developments, and I think we each have information the other could find useful. You were at the attack on the Waterfront, yes?"

"The one with the exploding hard suit? Yes, I was there. I and the others told the police about everything that happened, and they instructed us to leave it to them," Miles recalled. "I believe they suspected the Democratic Congo Protectorate, but it was a bit circumstantial, and I haven't heard anything since then. Do you know something new?"

"I happened to meet Zara while investigating the explosion in the slums. She, or what she represented as her organization, then arranged a meeting with the Brass Orchid, whom she paid over 1 million dollars to learn that Nuani Kagumbo deployed the suit as part of a kidnapping operation. Last night, Iris, Babble, and I discovered a means of finding Kagumbo's yacht, only it is more like an aircraft carrier. She has fighter jets, which is why I intially hoped to approach you about teleportation. However, I confess that I am rather interested in what you know of Zara, and especially of her organization. Is she out for herself, or is it, as I suspect, a front for PANTHEON?"

There were a few awkward moments of silence as Miles took this in.
"Zara and I knew each other when we were younger," Miles said at last. "She was never mixed up with PANTHEON, as far as I know - but it's been some years, and I don't know what crowd she runs with now. Though, If Zara paid to find out information about Kagumbo, it at least suggests she's on the side of the angels - so to speak." He gave the angelic Uri-el a wry smile.
"Kagumbo is clearly a bad person, though," Miles continued. "You're hoping I could teleport people onto a moving, heavily armed yacht? It sounds tricky - but if we know where it is, it could be within my power. But I'm sure that the local authorities would disapprove of our meddling. Unless you have secured a license to investigate this matter, hmm?"
He looked to Uri-el questioningly.

"I have a license, yes," Uri-el said quietly. "I have yet to meet a government that was interested in the optics of rejecting an angel. What would you need to be reasonably sure of success?"

"I'd need to know exactly where the yacht is, at the time we're going," Miles said. "I can see a long way with my Thousand Mile Vision, but I'd need to know where to look. Without an exact location we could end up in the middle of the ocean."
"Also, I can really only bring one other person at a time," Miles admitted. "I could make multiple trips back and forth to get a whole team there, but if it's a fairly long range, it'll take some time for me to recover between jumps. That will be a big problem if we're dropping directly into a combat, but maybe less of an issue if we can secure a safe landing spot. Do you know if that would be possible?"

"I believe that it would not be; the security is fairly comprehensive. We can locate the ship again without too much difficulty, but a safe landing spot is improbable. If we were to find ourselves on the ship and in possession of a reasonably secure place to land, would you like to be informed?"

"Sure, I'd be glad to show up as backup, if you need it," Miles agreed.

"Excellent." Uri-el smiled. It was...fiery.
