Eric Gibson was a busy man lately, and he was in high demand so he just schedule all his inquiries at once to save himself some time. He opted for a virtual meeting, so for now he waited in a virtual space that was accessible with text chat, accessible by augmented reality and virtual reality technologies.

"So I just... hit this button here?" Frankie asked whomever had the unfortunate job of running her through the use of this technology.

"Ah... uh... testing... one two three... hello?"

His voice was deep and stern as he replied, "Yes, I can hear you."

"Okay good. Can *you* hear *me*?" She asked, totally wasting everyone's time the process.

"Uh, so, hi, I'm Frankie. I think we need to talk, yeah? About super important multiverse stuff."

“Hey you spent the money, I am here for the next two hours on your dime. The project details were vague, but if you are talking about multiverse theory this will be an interesting and meandering conversation,” he responded.

"Two hours?! Wow, okay. Well, I don't know if we need that much time. See, the things is whatever experiments you may be doing with multiverse stuff? Yeah... you're going to make the universe explode."

“Well that seems highly improbably. But let’s say I humor you, how exactly is this universe supposed to explode, keep in mind the base energy requirements even using napkin math would be an incredible astronomical number,” Eric responded.

"Aha! So you admit you're doing multiverse experiments!"

Yes, totally outsmarting the genius!

"Listen. I don't know the math or physics involved. But! Here's the thing, I know. I'm not *from* this universe, yeah? And I have it on good authority that both my universe and this one are going to... I mean I don't know if explode is the right word, but stop existing, yeah? Because of breaches. One, probably being my fault. But there's others, and I was given your name, and I know you've done multiverse research in the past, so way I figure it is either you're doing experiments that end up making the problem worse, or you know how to fix it. One or the other, yeah?"

"I've met a few mad scientists in my own universe. But I think even mad scientists would agree that everything no longer existing would be pretty bad for their science."

“Really?” he responded. “Frankie, right, may I ask your full name for my records?”

"It's Frankie Reynes, yeah?" she said, which was maybe not the smart move but at this point she'd been blabbing about it on reality tv enough already that she'd figured he'd already know anyway. Right? Maybe?

Someone else entered the cyberspace under the pseudo of Arachnea

"Arachnea, welcome," he said.

He turned back to Frankie and said, "How long have you been in this universe, Frankie? The more precise the better."

"What? Who?" She blinked, looking a bit startled at the arrival of the stranger, before she turned back to Eric.

"A... a while?" She said, thinking it over for a moment. Since... August? The ninth, I think? My abilities yeah? They had me punch a hole into here or something yeah?"

''Doctor Gibson'' Arachnea said with courtesy before letting Frankie reply

He did some mental math and then said, “Interesting.”

“Now, I am seeing that there is a Frankie Reynes attending the Institute, but she has a full history before this date. Assuming your story is credible, this particular Frankie would be native to this reality? Am I correct in that assessment?” he said.

“Do they also posses abilities like yours?” he asked.

To his other guest he said, “How can my brilliant mind be of assistance?”

''I have two queries, good doctor, but they can wait until young madame here is done. I wouldn't want to divert your attention.''

"Yeah?" She answered, "There's lots of Frankies around the multiverse yeah? I mean, probably. And I'm not like, at liberty to talk about her powers yeah? That's for her to talk about if at all, init? How does all of this relate though? I mean, the universe is about to blow up, yeah?"

He responded, “Well, again, I have yet to see evidence but if I take your claim at base value there are still a great many variables to consider. But if we are seeking solutions I can probably put together a few potential ideas to investigate and potentially resolve this universe exploding issue. Of course I would need to better understand the nature of these breaches. I can probably pencil you in in about eight months after I finish prior engagements. I will need a team, a facility, and a budget of approximately fifty million to get started. But potentially as high as four hundred million over twelve months.”
