[Day 2 - LM] First Interview

[Dapper Dog]

“So tell me about the other Frankie, are you two just alike? Evil Twin situation?” she asked. “Do you two get along?”

[Frankie Reynes]

"Yeah, we're pretty much the same, yeah? Except for like minor differences. At first I thought she was evil, because I mean, I didn't know I'd gone to a different universe and everything so I just thought she'd stolen my face yeah? But we sorted that all out and now we're pretty close. Except for how she didn't bother telling me about blowing up, but I'm gonna have to talk to her about that I guess."

[Dapper Dog]

"Please you have to tell me about that," she said. "How did you first meet your otherworldly twin!"

[Frankie Reynes]

"She was in the room they gave me here at the school yeah? But then so was she. And we did the thing where we stared at each other for a moment, then freaked out. She threatened to have Michael Bay beat me up, I threatened her with a hairdryer, but we eventually calmed down when the hologram showed up and sorted things out at least a little bit."

[Dapper Dog]

“Now who is Michael Bay?” she asked trying to piece this mystery together. “And speaking of others, besides your alternate reality twin are there any other contestants you have a strong opinion about?”

[Frankie Reynes]

"He's the flaming angel guy yeah? As for strong opinions... not really? I mean, except that lil'd guy. Acts tough and annoying as hell, but cracks the moment a bird starts calling him names."

"Everyone else seems mostly okay. Okay, maybe mustache guy could use a trim. Are handlebar mustaches really still in style in this universe? But I mean, that's a personal style choice I guess, I won't judge that *too* hard. Teleporter guy could probably beat me in a teleport contest, but the influencer thing is a bit like, not my scene, yeah?"

[Dapper Dog]

"I see. So you are saying that Lil Disaster is actually a coward?" she asked.

[Frankie Reynes]

"I mean I don't really know the guy, but if he's gonna bolt from something small like that, then how's he going to fare when bad things happen for real, yeah? I don't know, maybe his story arc is he starts out like an annoying braggart but then he discovers the power of friendship and courage or something and he turns out alright in the end yeah? Do you guys have power of friendship twists in comic books and anime here?"

[Dapper Dog]

She chuckled at that and asked, "And what is your story arc?"

[Frankie Reynes]

"My story arc changes on like a weekly basis, luv. I guess I'm like the fourth wall breaker yeah? The recurring side-character maybe in other people's comics who'se mostly there for comic relief, and who occasionally has her own limited series wherein she saves the world, or maybe the universe, or maybe a couple of them at the same time. Or maybe just someone's pet dog, because most of the time it's small stuff like that. The big stuff is maybe more like once a month. Once every three months in a slow season."

[Dapper Dog]

"So what would you do if you got selected for the team? How do you think your life would change?" she asked.

[Frankie Reynes]

"Team? What team?" She asked, looking genuinely confused by the question.

[Dapper Dog]

"The team with Lisa Singularity for the UNJE, the multi million dollar contract?" she responded.

[Frankie Reynes]

"Oh right... there was something about that, yeah? Well, wait... did you say multi million dollar?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Oh right... there was something about that, yeah? Well, wait... did you say multi million dollar?"

“Yes, of course, you think these Elites are doing this dangerous work for free?” she responded.

[Frankie Reynes]

"I mean, why not?" She blinked, and thought about it for a moment.

"I guess it makes sense to get some kind of pay for it if you're doing it on the regular, sure. But I also figured most superheroes would start out with the saving the day part and only worry about getting paid as like, an after thought, yeah? Like, getting paid so they can eat and keep saving people instead of working 9 to 5, rather than so they can buy a lamborghini or a yacht, yeah?"

[Dapper Dog]

"So you are saying you would risk your life for strangers for free?" she asked.

[Frankie Reynes]

"Sure," she said with a shrug, "I mean, maybe I'm not like, running out with a cape and a police scanner every night to go look for trouble. But if I see bad stuff happen to someone, and I figure I can step in and help because I have powers that let me do stuff, then that seems like a no brainer, yeah?"

[Dapper Dog]

"But not every day as a day job?" she asked.

[Frankie Reynes]

"I mean maybe, if it paid a day job salary. I wasn't expecting a salary like that to run in the millions, though."
