[Day 2 - EA] Second Interview

[Dapper Dog]

"How are you dealing with the lives lost, last night? Is this the first time you have been involved in such an incident?" she asked.

[Iris Pythia]

Iris blanches slightly as the sudden change of tack catches her off-guard.

"Yeah, it um was the first I guess. I'm still processing everything. When I close my eyes I can still see everyone."
She swallows and has another sip of water.

"I'm sorry I couldn't stop it. Those people should still be alive."
She trails off, lost in thought.

[Dapper Dog]

“What would you say to their loved ones and families if you had the chance?” she asked.

Turning and looking directly into the camera.

"Mom, aunties. I can't believe you talked me into this and I will be holding it over you every Easter from now on.

"That was sweet, but I meant the families of those in the incident," she corrected.

Iris blamed it on being late for her rather than she being a lunatic.

"I would say that their pain is felt and their losses honoured. And that I and others don't plan on stopping until we find those responsible and make them answer for their actions."

Pausing and looking a little self-conscious.
"Uh, well as much as I can at least."

[Dapper Dog]

“What are your thoughts that the Pantheon Network could have been involved with the attack last night?” she asked.

[Iris Pythia]

"I think that sort of speculation is how I get into trouble. I'll leave that to the experts."

No way Iris was getting drawn on that.

"I think people have been saying 'I'm not like them, I'm better' for all of human history. The names and the faces change, but the belief stays the same."

Iris shakes her head with a 'tssk'.

"Usually they try and prove their moral superiority by doing heinous shit. Because who needs irony when you're better? That's not me. I saw my calculus grades last semester, no god complex here."

[Dapper Dog]

“I have to agree, well I think that is all we have time for today. Thank you and please take some refreshments on the way out if you like,” she said.

Iris extends a hand for a shake before making her way out. The family position on the media and attention only growing firmer.
