"I've heard of them. Alas, I do not speak French so that may be a challenge. It doesn't matter once you are the level of thought, but it would make a difference listening to conversation."

"But words like Pantheon, names, stuff like that is still possible to hear. But better to get a look at known Pantheon people and associates. To recognize them. The local police might have a file. Maybe I could ask Detective Nasir. I'm sure the police are eager to follow-up. This is related to the trouble at the waterfront? All those people dying?"

"Ugh, no cops," she responded with disgust.

That robot I met was also speaking French. I think the guy who built her said he got her as a kit off of Amazon, sent from like the Congo too. Huh... weird. Is that like a... regular thing... here? French robots from the Congo?"

She looked around at them, really not sure.

"Anyway, I speak French, somehow. It was like, a mandatory class at the orphanage. So all you'd need to do is just remember the French words you hear and I can probably translate... easy peasy."

"Why not involve the authorities? They are surely investigating too. The more information we share, the more effective everyone will be, and the sooner it will all be resolved."

"I don't know anything about Congo-based robot making. But that's good you speak French. It will surely help. You could likely also teach me a few keywords in French like 'robot' and 'explosion' and 'bomb' and ... stuff like that."

"What club is it? Where they've been seen? And who in particular was seen at the club?"

"Cops are lame, fuck the police," she said doing a mocking rap gang sign. "Snitches get stitches, yeah."

"I can't support you saying that. The police play an important role in keeping communities safe. They have a hard job, and it only got harder with the advent of powered villains."

She frowned. That was a terrible thing to say! It just couldn't go unchallenged.

"It's particularly important for us 'elite' heroes to support local community heroes - the cops and emergency personnel and firefighters who came last night and helped the people impacted. They were working long after our help was done. They played an essential role."

"What we do is licensed for a reason. We have to be responsible and law-abiding, and that includes respecting those who help keep the law and order."

Frankie looked at fake Frankie for her response.

"Some place called the Champagne Room, I think. Eric Gibson." She repeated the information for Bee Haw before things started getting heated about cops.

"I don't know yeah? Cops being dirty is a whole trope for a reason, but I'm sure there's good ones just trying not to get squashed by supers too yeah? Don't know about that other stuff though."

Licenses? She didn't think that was a thing in her world. Or maybe it was, but it wasn't all front and center like this.

"I mean, if you see someone on fire... not michael bay... then you go try and put him out, yeah? You don't just wait around for the fire department because you're not a licensed firefighter. And i mean, if you see a dirty cop taking money from like some mobster gang squeezing out local shops yeah? For like, looking the other way and what not. You don't just go 'yes sir' when he tells you to keep walking because he's a cop and legally he can tell you that and you can't do nothing about it, yeah? You'd try and do something about it yeah? You'd try and and tell those mobsters and that copper wot's wot when they come to your favorite snackbar with baseball bats for their protection money."

"The revengers didn't like wait for the government to tell them it's okay to stop the supervillains, init? To make sure it all happened by the book. That came later. First comes the saving the world."

Bea nodded at Good Frankie, who was getting easier to distinguish from Bad Frankie.

"I agree that you take action when a life is on the line. That's always the priority. And you should be honest, yes. And that means being honest if a person who should be a good guy proves that they aren't. It's happened in the history of the world. We have to work together, do the good we can, and that does sometimes mean exposing corruption."

"It also means that sometimes people mean well, but do something that causes more harm than good, and you have to call that out honestly and fix it. Everyone is human. People make mistakes. It's okay. It just needs redeeming."

Frankie gave a bland look and then just made the L shape with her hand on her forehead, “But whatever, sure come cops good… most bad. As long as we keep the uni… as long as we win, I am down.”

She gave Frankie a quick look when bee girl went on a sermon, it was a little too Captain Earth for her taste. Give her a shield to throw instead of bees, and maybe a bunch of kids following around with rings giving them power, and it'd be pretty much the same thing. Except there'd probably be more episodes with the useless Heart kid when what they needed was *Fire*.

"Yeah anyway, I mean, most coppers are kind of on the meh to bad side. But maybe that's just a London thing, yeah? Anyway, the important thing is that things don't blow up. Or at least not the things we don't want to blow up. Speaking of, Frankie, if you like, need some grenades or whatever to help protect yourself, let me know."

“Can you just give me a gun?” she asked.

"Aren't grenades the very thing that blows things up?"

[Frankie Reynes]

She reached out into the air with one hand, which disappeared from sight as if going into some kind of different dimension. Which is exactly what was happening. Then a second later she pulled out what was *probably* a gun. It looked close enough to a gun, at least. In fact, it looked more like a machine gun. From a mad max movie.

She handed it to Frankie.

"I mean... it'll disappear the moment I like, teleport or anything so it might not be a permanent solution."

"It's a real gun!?" she said looking at it before dropping it.

"Shit!"

[Frankie Reynes]

"Well shit don't drop the possibly loaded gun y'idiot!" she let the gun fade from reality at that point, "What'd you think? I was going to give you a gun that just yells 'bang'? That'd be a dick move if you were in danger and needed to protect yourself proper, yeah?"

[Bee Haw]

"If your goal is protection, maybe armor or a shield? Would it just vanish?" She had no idea how Good Frankie's powers worked.

[Frankie Reynes]

"It should be good until it isn't. Basically I can either have the stuff out, or I can teleport."

[Bee Haw]

She nodded. "That makes sense. And you don't need the armor if you've escaped."

"I think the main thing is to focus on scouting. Don't escalate situations. Be calm and unobtrusive."

Frankie just listened and ate food.
