"Wait, so all of you family can do that eye thing?" His eyes widen before he shook his head. "That's something. Yeah, glad you've seemingly made it out of there without feeling like there's watching over you shoulder all the time. Feel like I'd have to live in a metal box or something to be at ease." Raul grabs the honey and begins to apply to the reheated meal.

He shrugs, grabs a spoon and sticks some in his mouth and pauses while chewing.

"Y'know...had my doubts going in, but honey, well, it kinda works. Makes sense, I guess, honey and spice. Not too uncommon to mix them together." He takes another bite and makes a high pitch noise as he chews. "Hear that, he looks at the camera, holding up the bowl. "Honey Chili, spread the word. It ain't bad."

"Well we don't call it the 'eye thing' but yeah. It's a family thing. I have uhh, some bad news about the ability of metal boxes to stop the snooping. First thing I tried as a kid, no dice."

Raising an eyebrow at the combo of sweet and spice Iris waits for an opening and then sticks a fresh spoon in to taste the concoction.
"Huh, yeah that's not bad at all."

Ayana said, "No, it's weird. But it could be weirder I guess. No offense."

"We have a guy who's an angel, someone else without solid form and I think several people with mid level mind control. I'm just saying, eyes are a thing people have. I'm just taking a normal thing to a new level."

"Still weird," she admitted.

"At least that means you are used to all these cameras on you; still trying to adjust to that feeling."
Raul didn't stop the taste test, and offers his bowl out to the other woman for her to try.

"Just a bit weird, but it's within acceptable levels of it."

Ayana accepted the bowl and said, “Interesting. Is this Greek?”

"I think the term is 'TexMex'. Basically, a mix of American and Mexican style of meals, brought together to make foods that may look like they are a affront to God, but are actually quite delicious."

Arturo had taken his time coming back from the vigil. It had been a lot for him to process. That was without needing to manage Lil' D. Then there was the girl. He wasn't sure what he'd do about her.

He waved to everyone as he walked into the kitchen. Arturo found some rice, poured some into the rice cooker, added some water, measured it with his finger, and set it to cook.
