[Day 5 - MM] First Interview

[Dapper Dog]

"Do you feel more detached, because you are an elite? Do you feel that detachment deeper with baselines?" he asked.

[Uri-el]

"Not at all. I feel a detachment from everyone, Elite and Non-Elite alike. And it arises, I believe, as much from how I was raised and my culture as from the fact that I am burning all the time, or that I appear to be an angel with all that entails."

[Dapper Dog]

"Does that not concern you?" he asked.

[Uri-el]

"It does. I would not be here, trying to shake it, if it did not. But I do not think that I am uniquely cursed or burdened. Many people feel like this, I think. My isolation is reinforced by some realities that I must accept; they are not going away. But I think some people are on fire on the inside metaphorically instead, which amounts to about the same thing."

[Dapper Dog]

"Is there a message you would say to your friends or family back home?" he asked.

[Uri-el]

Uri-el shook his head. "No, thank you. They will not be watching."
