[Day 8 - LA] Elite Academy Wrap-Up Party

"For now." Arturo nodded. "Most of us have other things we can focus on, I think."

[Galatea]

''Mayhaps'' she sighed ''Still a lot of ties to knot properly ''What are you going to do Camilo?''

[Camilo Batista]

"I guess back to school next semester. Nothing really changes. No?

I had thoughts this morning of going back to Rio if I didn't make the team, or maybe even if I did. Then I remembered this is only the Fall semester, we still have the Spring. Then two more years for me. I think this is a four year program."

[Bee Haw]

Bea listened to them.

"I think I will stay here. Probably with my host family, if they'll have me, and let me pay rent."

"And I'll get a job. Not at a coffee shop! Maybe something with the shelter or the police or some local group that works with animals. Something to research. I mean, I need to research what jobs are out there and how to apply. If there are licenses or coursework needed to qualify, or that you can pursue while working. Not a research job."

"I can also check if the church has any open positions."

[Babble]

"Other than classes, I have an internship at the STEM Center." Arturo said. "I submitted my emergency response armor design this morning. On to the next step of the overall project."

He turned to Bea. "I imagine there's some ecology programs available and your experience alone should be enough for you find work of some sort. But, if any of you need a hand, I'll do what I can. I have some extra funds looking for a good cause to support."

[Dapper Dog]

Lisa Singularity smiled and said, “I want to propose a toast, to the Elite Academy and to bright futures for all involved. Please raise a glass and know that each and everyone of you will do great things with the UNJE or affiliated agencies.”

“We will make every effort to work on placing you in quality positions.”

[Bee Haw]

She smiled at Babble. "Oh, interesting! Yes, I'd like to at least explore that. Maybe meet scientists at UNJE working on ecology projects or directly with animals. Biological science, maybe. We should chat more about that."

And that might be a path to investigate the infertility issue, too!

She raised her glass of ice water when it was time for the toast.

[Galatea]

''I wish you good success in your studies then. I'll likely finish my program at the end of the semester. I might do one or two masters after that. Maybe get additionnal degrees if time permits.''

She paused, raising an eyebrow

''If you are not chosen to make the team or find nothing of convenance afterwards give me a call. I might have something for you.''

[Camilo Batista]

"Oh really. Then you think I have what it takes to be a model?" He responds in Portuguese. "I always felt I could do well in front of the camera. Although, I thought it would be performing with my music or my dance. Probably both."

[Galatea]

''That one way you could help but not the only one.'' she replied in portuguese, somewhat imprecise in the details on purpose ''But that will be then. Things will change.''

[Lil Disaster]

"I promise if you fail to make my team, I'll make sure to put in a good word for a personal assistant," he said with a confident smirk.
