[Day 3 - MM] Gift Basket

[Dapper Dog]

In the living room, there is a large gift basket from Elite Chai, sweets, treats, and tickets for the EFL Tournament tonight. There is no alarm this morning, but there is a note that reads that all contestants are invited to the EFL Tournament and can party in a private box with surprise guests.

Cautiously optimistic about the lack of morning wake up call, Camilo made his way out of his room and roamed around the house expecting an unwelcome surprise. Instead, he spotted the basket prominently displayed in the living room. The first thing he noticed was the pastries, but he restrained himself just long enough to read the note before digging in.

A party tonight at the KFC Grand Stadium. Looked like the weekend was starting on a Wednesday night this week.

"A corporate gift basket, neat."

Iris, looking like she had been raised from the dead only minutes before shambles in in sweat pants and sweater with a Rho symbol on it. Yawning sleepily she waves at Camilo before browsing the gift basket for well...tea, strong tea.

Loot in hand she shambled back to the kitchen and puts the kettle on.

"You gonna go to fight night?"

"Wouldn't miss it. You?" Camilo managed to respond and ask between mouthfuls of sugary pastry. To the best of his knowledge and from what his taste buds were telling him, this was not the healthy vegetarian snacks he was promoting yesterday, but he wasn't complaining.

[Babble]

"No message for us this morning?" Arturo asked with a yawn.

"Wouldn't miss it. You?" Camilo managed to respond and ask between mouthfuls of sugary pastry. To the best of his knowledge and from what his taste buds were telling him, this was not the healthy vegetarian snacks he was promoting yesterday, but he wasn't complaining.

"Might have some stuff this evening, might not. Corporate boxes can be kinda bleggh, but with good company?"
Iris and several eyes on her cheeks seemed to be staring intently at the kettle as if they could force it to boil faster as it started shaking slightly.

"Yeah, I could go. Not sure where I stand on people fighting for entertainment, but boxing and wrestling has existed forever so I guess it is what it is."

"No message for us this morning?" Arturo asked with a yawn.

"Not that I've seen, but early yet."

[Babble]

"I wouldn't mind a quiet day." He said, looking through the basket. "Yesterday was lot."

[Camilo Batista]

"EFL is on another tier from boxing or wrestling. Those are both great at their roots, but where they are now is lixo, garbage." He could go on, but knew just enough to restrain himself if someone wasn't interested in a topic.

"Bom dia Arturo. No wake up call, but a more quiet message." Camilo offered motioning to the note. "Maybe a quiet day, but a loud night." He added with a big grin. "You got into some excitement yesterday?"

[Babble]

"Not exactly." He shook his head. "Just a lot of things going on. Lab work. Classes. The commercial. Debriefing with the police. And, the vigil. It was a long, emotional day."

[Camilo Batista]

"Wow, was the vigil just yesterday. I guess it was a pretty long day."

[Dapper Dog]

He gets a text message.

He can read the communication in the air, it's from Hanh and it stated that her family was fine with the cameras and would love to host him this evening as a thank you.

[Frankie Reynes]

In the background of the shot, one of the Frankie's popped her head around the corner and looked straight into the camera for a moment before disappearing. A few seconds later her head popped back up somewhere completely different. Then disappeared again. And this went on for a bit, each time she appeared a little closer to the tray of pastries and assorted other goodies.

Nobody saw her. Or *probably* nobody saw her. Except the people editing the footage in post. And perhaps Pythia with her mysterious eye powers? Or maybe anyone who rolled a nat twenty and had a good perception score; but that would only make sense if this was some sort of trpg, which of course it wasn't.

Closer and closer she came to the prize. And then... she *struck*. Taking TWO pastries instead of just the one.

Galatea was not sure what was happening but the wake-up call should have been done by now. She ventured forth in her navy blue silk night gown, covered by her bathrobe.

''What is happenning?'' she asked, eyeing those gathered

"Looks like no challenge today." Arturo answered.

[He gets a text message.

He stepped away to reply to Hanh's text. After considering it for a .moment, he accepted the invitation.

Jun-Min entered the home with a drone carrying freshly made coffee and chai, she greeted the contestants and students, “Good morning, I just wanted to stop by and check on how everyone is doing.”

"Better this morning than last. I'm okay waking up early, but I do like to do it on my own terms." he grabbed a cup of coffee off the drone, "although a fresh coffee wake up would be most welcome senhorita." He'd been side-eyeing Iris and her kettle, curious to see what she made before he asked for a share.

“I try not to go anywhere early in the morning without the gift for caffeine,” she said with a friendly laugh. “It’s been an exciting few days and I was just checking on you all. How are you feeling about the Elite Academy?”

"Oh yeah, the Institute is great." He agreed while dunking a croissant like pastry into his coffee. "Just as good if not better than Rota."

“I really liked Rota,” she admitted. “Have you had any issues with the show, I want to make sure your privacy is respected when needed.”

[Camilo Batista]

"No issues here. I am the open book." he replied with a toothy grin. "In fact, I forgot to go to the confessional yesterday. I will make sure to go today and tell them what it is I am thinking about things."
