The phone in her room ringed. And then... Frankie did the remarkably unexpected thing: she picked it up.

"Hello?"

[Dapper Dog]

She heard a digital masked voice, "Is this Frankie Reynes?"

[Frankie Reynes]

"Yes, this is Frankie Reynes, who is this?" She asked.

[Dapper Dog]

"I have questions, how do you know if someone is from another reality?" they asked.

[Frankie Reynes]

"Uh... I mean they probably figure it out themselves when stuff is like... *different* 'ere yeah? I mean, I can probably tell cause there's dimensional stuff around them and stuff but... who is this?"

[Dapper Dog]

"But if they don't know, you can still sense the dimensional stuff around them?" the voice responded. "So it could be possible that someone may not know they are from another reality... possible, correct?"

[Frankie Reynes]

"I mean, I probably could but I don't know why they wouldn't because like, universes can be pretty different from each other yeah? But seriously, who is this?"

[Dapper Dog]

There is a long pause and then the voice said, "Miss Hall, we spoke before and now I have questions. After your comment, I had some bloodwork done and identified some markers that did not match this baseline or your markers."

[Frankie Reynes]

"No, my name is Frankie not miss hall... oh, right. Never mind. Mad scientist. Gotcha. Wait, what do you mean? So like, you're from another universe too? Maybe another mad scientist kidnapped you when you were a baby yeah? And that's why you don't know that you're in a different universe because you don't remember shit like McRonalds having a different logo yeah?"

[Dapper Dog]

"I don't know, but my bloodwork shows discrepancies, that point to being from a different reality," she admitted. "I would not have even thought to check myself, if I was brought here then I don't recall it. So... yeah, I just did not know who else to speak to."

[Frankie Reynes]

"Well, I don't really know what to say to that. Look, I'm a scatterbrain, yeah? I don't tend to think about stuff much; because stuff tends to just happen to me regardless, yeah? But, I'd say you got to ask yourself some questions, yeah? Like, basic detective kind of stuff. Like, about your parents and childhood as a starter maybe. Maybe something's off there somewhere, yeah? Or maybe it's other stuff, I don't know. How did you say you got involved with Eric, again?"

[Dapper Dog]

“His skills were recommended to me by my… family, they knew he had the skills we would need to hit the ground running,” she said.

“You think Eric Gibson did something?”

[Frankie Reynes]

"Bruv, how would your parents even know about a mad scientist like him, yeah? Sounds pretty fishy to me."

[Dapper Dog]

"Older relative," she said vaguely. "Not sure, but I trust... trusted their judgment but now I have to rethink things. I have to go."

The call ended.

"Well okay bye for now, I guess," she said to the dead line, before going back to bed, dreaming of sandwiches.
