A chilly arrival (Pregame, Monday 9th, afternoon closed)

"Or just call me and we can figure it out together," she responded.

[Frozen Shadow]

"I don't have a phone so I just need to know when you're home then" Shadow sealed her bottle and put it back into one of the old bags pockets "it wouldn't do good to just hang around and wait."

[Dapper Dog]

“I am home in the evenings, I will be doing some work with the local police in my downtime during the day. I will make sure to get you a mobile,” she said as she ate her kabob.

“Need me to come with, to the dorms?”

[Frozen Shadow]

"You're going to get me a mobile?"

There was a pause at that, as if looking for the catch.

"Can I turn off the tracking? And...I just need to know where the dorms are, and how to get in. Do I need anything to get in?"

[Dapper Dog]

“It’s all Biometrics data, so you should be able to get in. No catch, you need a form of communication, and I have a budget, a mobile won’t break it. It’s your mobile, you can do what you want with it as long as I can reach you and you reach me.”

She shrugged as she took another drink and said, “Go wild.”

"Bio...metric?"

There was a hint of concern in the voice.

"What do they have on me?"

[Dapper Dog]

She took another drink and said, “They know what I know, we work for the same team. I know that may freak you out but that is how things work around here. ADINA knows pretty much everything. She’s a smart computer thing.”

ADINA’s voice chimed in from well nowhere, “Not a girl.”

[Frozen Shadow]

The girl was about to respond but the voice out of nowhere had Shadow spinning around trying to see the person.

"Who's there?"

[Dapper Dog]

ADINA materialized, “Hello Mimi, I am ADINA, how can I help you?”

[Frozen Shadow]

"Wha?"

Shadow turned to look at Janet.

"What is this? Why is she following me?"

[Dapper Dog]

This was quickly becoming a three beer minimum night. Janet said, “It’s just ADINA she isn’t following you, she has access to the entire campus including the Village and the Refuge. She’s the smart thingy I was talking about.”

[Frozen Shadow]

Shadow took a deep breath and then turned back to the thing that was human shaped. Approaching it with a frown and studying it.

"So its not real?" she would attempt to poke it.

[Dapper Dog]

Her finger moves through the image and it responded, “I exist, Mimi. I am a synthetic intelligence neural network; a created intelligence designed for the UNJE Institute. My sole mission is to improve the lives of the staff and students.”

[Frozen Shadow]

"I'm not a staff or student so why are you here" the girl asked, there was narrowing of eyes but the hood was good at hiding things. Also it was ai, it likely didn't care about narrowed eyes.

[Dapper Dog]

“That was my doing, I wanted you in a safe space that could allow you to be safe. They have the best facility but if you feel uncomfortable with that, I have a backup plan but it is definitely not as nice as here,” she responded honestly.

OOC: Whoops I forgot you were not a student, nice reminder.

Frozen had started to walk around the not-human ai thing.

"I don't remember, did you see where I was before one of your people finally braved the blizzard to talk to me?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Tell you what, why don't you just tell me, maybe it will help for the both of us," she responded. The beers were kicking in.

[Frozen Shadow]

"It was a warehouse, lil south of Springfield. Abandoned, in an area that some gang had held before I moved in and drove them out forcefully."

She circled around the Ai again, as if looking for something.

"The walls were damaged and barely still up. The ceiling was leaking and water damaged from ice and snow. There were no doors, and the windows were shattered. The ground was frozen all the time."

She finally paused and looked back at the woman.

"Point being, unless your backup plan has less than three fully built walls and is missing a roof I'm sure it's fine. I liked the warehouse though."

[Dapper Dog]

“It’s a farm actually, isolated away from a lot of folks. They grow coffee and maize, much of the work is automated but it might work for you. Just be you out there, though obviously I would check in on you,” she responded.

“The more I talk about it the better it sounds, I would have to show you some basic maintenance of the machines but it’s a good safe house.”

[Frozen Shadow]

"A farm?"

There was almost a hint of appeal of the idea in the girls voice.

"It would be more private. Less...problems with my abilities being more open. Less reason for people to bother me...I like it. I kept that old warehouse standing, I think I could learn machine maintenance."
