Just chattin' about elder gods [D3, MA]

Time for a private conversation then! Frankie had made sure to ask the counselor after that impromptu session to make some time like... right away. The end of the universe had some semblance of urgency, after all.
As she made her way to where she'd previously gone to meet with her, Frankie kept thinking:
*Are you there? Are you reading my mind? How about now? How about now?*

There was no answer but when she arrived ruby opened the door and greeted the young Elite. She said, “Hey Frankie, come in, Jun-Min is waiting for us in the living room.”
“So, the weight of two universes on your shoulders is pretty tough.”

"Oh... hi," she said, a bit surprised but frankly not that much because most things didn't really surprise her, after all.
"You know?" She asked; as if she hadn't been talking about this stuff to enough people both on and off camera to make it a common enough rumor by now.

“Jun-Min filled me in,” she said honestly. “But just the fact that the stakes are high. There is a lot to put on the table, so she figured I should be here to fill in the gaps.”
“I hope that is okay.”

"I guess that's okay, but what do you mean, gaps?" She looked at the woman a little suspiciously.

Jun-Min jumped into the conversation, setting down some tea and juice, “There’s a lot to talk about. And neither of us is an authority on alternate realities and multiverse theory so bear with us.”
“Just to get the obvious out the way, Ruby and I are not from this universe either.”

Okay, *that* was pretty surprising. And it showed in Frankie's face.
"Wha? Seriously? WHAAAAA? Are you from... like my universe? Or the one that got conquered by the lizard aliens? Or... some other universe?"

The two women exchanged looks and then Jun-Min said, “No, it was much like this one just a different year… think it was 2012 or 2014 the first time and the second one was around 2020 before things went off the rails. Our memories are not… well it’s hard to recall the events like they were dreams.”
“But your universe sounds like the place that Ruby visited in our first universe. Yeah it gets complicated.”

Ruby corrected, “But definitely not yours, it was like… different though. They had what you called them superheroes like in the comics? My boyfriend, Kid Paragon, was from that universe. He was actually the son of Odin, and had a whole family drama thing going on. Meeting Odin really messed with my friend Anika’s head.”
She paused thinking of wistful better times.

"I've never heard of a kid paragon, but I mean there's like a tonne of superheroes where I'm from so that doesn't mean much. I'm sure there's probably some overlap too, like, there's a Frankie here, yeah? So there's probably like a whole bunch of versions of everyone in a whole bunch of different universes."
She shrugged. "Anyway, so how did you get here? Because that space kid said this universe is like, supposed to be hard to breach or something yeah? But I did it somehow, but probably only because of my powers yeah? Either of you have powers like mine?"

“We woke up here, and there are multiple versions but some people that we knew in our previous versions of this universe are not here… they just never existed. As far as we can tell. There is no other Jun-Min or Ruby, maybe took their place? Because we both have history in these realities but no alternate selves.”
She pondered that and said, “We recall events from these previous realities and there are similarities. But they are not exact. But Xaos, Krono, and these we call them Eternals are a constant. They remain the same.”
“And neither of us have powers like yours.”

“Maybe my powers might evolve to a point where my edges can cut reality, but right now, nope,” she said.

"You just... woke up here?" She asked, "There wasn't like an epic adventure that brought you here? No bright light? Nobody teleporting you over? So then how did you meet these Eternals? Did they tell you anything?"

Ruby said, “I met them a few times, especially Xaos. He was sometimes helpful, sometimes not, and even outright vindictive at times. Krono was far more even keel I guess but she was just as alien at times. Really any of these Eternals seem to and I’m pretty sure they were the reason why I met my boyfriend, and even visited his reality.”
“Well until we had to deal with the interdimensional warriors. Thankfully we stopped them.”

"Oh, you mean the lizard people? Yeah, I saw what they did to one universe. Or are these other aliens? I mean, there was an alien invasion in my universe too that one time, but I don't think they were lizard people. But... you think the eternals brought you here? But why? Like, the impression I got was that they would frown on doing that sort of thing."

“If they did they did not inform us of why, or the purpose. But now maybe we will find out,” Jun-Min admitted.

“No, the Ultrum Imperirum are like blue skinned humanoid alien people,” Ruby interjected.

"Could... could it be possible it wasn't them that brought you here, but... Eric Gibson? With his experiments? I mean, I don't know if that makes sense, but I'm just what's the word, spitballing, yeah?"

“That could be something,” she offered. “It’s as good a theory as any.”

"So then, you'll help yeah? Catch him and all? I'm not real good with this investigating stuff, to be honest. Or the catching people stuff. Yesterday I couldn't even do anything except bleed from my eyeballs, and I didn't even get to use them properly to search for clues first."
