Elite Comic Universe PBP

The city was alive, every night the pulse and rhythm of the people fills the air with life and wonder. And those wonders were lost on Second Amendment; after the attack on US soil by Pantheon Network murderers he was determined to bring those involved to justice. He had been traveling, bring extrajudicial justice to those he felt were involved or had escaped justice.

But this was a slight detour, he had remembered the incident with Rising Eagle and the missing girl had never sat well with him. So he was here to hopefully kill two birds with one stone, hurt the Pantheon Network and track down Eric Gibson.

Eric was scum, and most likely had involved himself with scum like the Brass Orchid and the local lowlifes. Time to shake them down.

Do what the so-called local authorities could not. Time to go to war and exercise the Second Amendment. The gangsters were about to meet the anvil of justice and turn the slums into a war zone. Justice would be served, and if the local authorities got in the way he would not be denied.

OOC: Open to up to three players, this could become a dangerous thread.

Frankie was... kind of just going wherever she felt like going tonight. Everything was good. Or maybe not good. She couldn't tell anymore; not that she ever could before. Were those science people on the level? Would her blood help them fix reality? Would anyone yell at her for just giving them her blood? Would the Brass Orchid get paid for whatever it was that Frankie was supposed to have done to them? Would clown frankie find love with mustachio man? Would prime Frankie ever find her way home to catch up on the new season of Survivor: Croydon?

These were the questions that frankly, Frankie wasn't at all thinking about but which maybe she should've been, instead of just aimlessly wandering the streets following a cat that she was pretty sure was a clue of some kind on account of the fact it kept blinking in and out of existence. But the cat was no where to be seen now, and frankly, Frankie wasn't sure if it had ever been there before.

But hey, at least now she was here. Wherever here was.

The gala sounded like a whole thing, but not Camilo's kind of thing. Don't get him wrong, he looked good in black tie formal, but he didn't do masks, they pressed on his mustache weirdly. Plus, it sounded like it was going to be a lot stiffer kind of party than what he preferred. Instead, he headed down to the Old Slums to be among the people.

Yesterday had been pretty crazy, so it was good to get grounded. Plus, a little patrol as a provisional licensee the day before Halloween meant he should free up some time to celebrate on the day himself.

His heart skipped a beat when he spotted the ponytail, but on further inspection there was a distinct lack of makeup and a certain anarchic presence that he recognized as Frankie I.

Shadow hated wasting any time, however with the investigation happening in Chira regarding the big lizard the girl was taking a much wider and longer route around to go back home. This took her skating over the skies of the slums, which she cast a wary eye over as she did so.

The sound of gunfire echoed through the area, rapid fire gunshots followed by an explosion. A vehicle was now aflame, and the occupants thrown from the vehicle. Second Amendment approached and put his foot on the person’s chest and said, in a deep, raspy voice, “I don’t like to repeat myself.”

“Champagne Room, where is it.” As if to punctuate his request he pointed his high tech pistol at the person. She wailed loudly with fear.

“Wrong answer. Try again,” they said preparing to fire.

Not again.

From the air the girl took off in the direction of the gunfire, frowning when she saw the shape.

It can't be him...can it?

"What are you doing" the girl said from above.

He didn’t look up, but his free hand raised quickly pointing another firearm at the voice. He said, “None of your business, keep moving citizen.”

Hearing the familiar sound of gunshots echoing amongst the buildings, Camilo took off at a sprint towards the source. An explosion illuminated the sky and pinpointed the exact location.

Turning a corner, Camilo takes in the scene, at first assuming the two elites are attacking the woman together until he hears them argue.

OOC: He is famous/infamous abroad as a vigilante, known for having little sympathy or mercy for criminals, he tries not to kill but anything short of that is fair game. It is difficult to tell off hand how much stronger or weaker he is compared to Camilo. But he is armed and the woman on the ground is not.

She was just walking along, minding her own business, when suddenly... gunfire! explosions!

These were pretty normal where she was from, so she just kept walking not really too worried. These things happen, yeah? But then she heard some masked dude demand to know where the champagne room was. *Now* she was somewhat interested. She recognized that name, after all. Not the guy. This guy didn't exist in her universe. Or maybe he did and he was just too small fry and American for her to recognize him. Same difference.

So, she backed up a little, and ducked behind a corner. Ninja time!

Then it was *looking at people and making weird shit happen time*, because this guy seemed kind of like a crazy person, yeah? Just pointing guns at random people on the street for no reason. Definitely American.

Something ridiculously improbable happens. This time however, it does not cause injury, but rather astounds, confuses, and disables a target that she can perceive. However, should the target resist the effect, something similarly weird happens to her instead.

Second Amendment was still focused on his quarry. He pulled the trigger and blew her knew out, and the woman screamed and started shouting in Amharic where the Champagne Room was. He responded after a moment, “You won’t die, not yet.”

There was a deeper frown, the girl taking something out of her pocket to put into her hoodie before dropping down off her board and catching it.

"I'm pretty sure Second Amendment isn't supposed to be operating in Ethiopia. Aren't you meant to be closer to Brooklyn?"

If it wasn't him then she'd find out quickly but he had the same armour. She was certain of it, although it had been a long time..

"Uaaah!" Out from around the corner Frankie came, flailing into view as she patted herself down frantically, as if getting rid of a bunch of bugs.

She probably could've stayed hidden. They were just talking caterpillars, sharing secrets and making demands same as they did the first time she'd encountered them. But that was many moons ago. Years, even. She thought she'd escaped them. And for just a moment, she panicked. Not because she was afraid. She was afraid of nothing after all. But they *were* icky. And their demands were always unreasonable.

Anyway, so record scratch then freeze frame as she came face to face with the lunatic and... someone new talking to him? Oh, and the woman who he had just shot.

"...uh... hi."

You're probably wondering how I got into this mess...

The Champagne Room, so probably she was a criminal or at least crime adjacent. That didn't mean this vigilante had the right to shoot a defenseless person. Rushing over, he laid hands on the woman and absorbed her injury, his own knee blowing out in turn while he let out a pained exclamation.

"Filho da puta! You coward." As he admonished thr vigilante, the wound on his knee began to heal.

The girl could not help but sigh as the mad girl and then the other guy stumbled out in the middle of a tense situation.

"What the hell..." she muttered to herself before looking back at the guy who now had a gun pointed at her. The girls eyes narrowed.

"Lower the gun and we can talk. If you're who I remember you to be then I will talk to you but not at gunpoint."

The knee was blown out again and the woman screamed again. He turned his gun on Camilo, now just pointing at Frankie and Camilo, and said, “Back off, hombre.”

To Frozen Shadow he said, “I am not sure who you are, but if you are with them, then I am definitely not lowering my gun.”

Seeing what was going to happen, Camilo shoved the woman out of the way and took her injury, just in a more proactive and direct manner.
