"And what is your conclusion? I think you might be misreading the situation"

She took the photos back, looking at them again before putting them away.

"She can't deal with him, I can."

[Galatea]

''No, not really'' Galatea replied with a knowing smile

''Have you considered that the orgy of evidence here is not because she wanted to aim you at him like a missile but because this is the place she was doing her own research to keep tabs on Gibson? That she kept an eye on him so she could take any slip up as a pretext for her to arrest him? That the room downstairs was for her to use on him?''

Galatea sat on the edge of the windowsill

''Perhaps she brought you here, in the most secure place she knew, because she cared? You know...when you are hurt so much that you are ready to go out of your way, to get justice or revenge...one of the things that might stop you of give pause is to find someone who is hurt like you are and try to help them because you understand their pain''

There was a frown under her hood.

"So she kept all her work on Gibson here, then decided to offer it to someone deeply effected by....that person, knowing full well they'll see the information? And left it open on that page? No, that's too much. There's too much to think it wasn't intentional."

[Galatea]

''Or she worked here and did not properly clean up before bringing you here. If she was in a rush or had some concern for your safety that would track as well.''

[Frozen Shadow]

The hood turned to look at Galatea.

"There was no concerns for my safety if I was meant to be in the dorms and was offered to be here instead. You seem to be making a lot of excuses for her, why?"

[Galatea]

''Because I see her angle'' she replied ''People are flawed and make mistakes. It's reasonable to be suspicious but things sometimes just happens. The dorms does seem like a safe place and students get accommodated based on their need. Paragon is also around so if anyone tries to do something funny you get the cavalry quickly.''

The girl stared thoughtfully at Galatea.

"...There's an awful lot of coincidences for happen for you to be right. But...." she trailed off for a few moments, before turning away.

"I won't rule it out as a maybe."

[Galatea]

"Are they truly coincidences or just data points you link together from reflexive suspicion?" She mused

"You searched for him when you came here...could you fanthom why she did her own? Agree or not...she does have a certain benefit of the doubt."

She tossed her hair to the side

"And honestly...even if she intended to use you as her own frosty petite goth-punk seeker missile...what the fuck would she expect you to do? You are good...but not omnipotent"

"I didn't know he was here until I read the documents" there was a shake of the head "if I didn't read anything I would have been happily unaware. I'd be content to have never been near him again."

There was a pause, before she added "I can deal with him. But that's not anyone elses concern."

[Galatea]

"Gibson will soon be everyone's concern." she replied "Wannabe Godzilla last night? Came throught a dimensional breach. Either from an alternative reality or, at least, a weaponized form if teleportation."
