Frozen wounds (D5 MM)

[Frozen Shadow]

Shadow had not had the best sleep. She had cleaned up her wounds as best she could, and showered any icky mess away, before bandaging them in a very poor but at least serviceable way before sleeping, but there was a lot of awkward turning and then pain when she did so. However she eventually got enough sleep.

The first thing she checked in the morning was her hoodie, which was destroyed. She had spares, but it still annoyed her to lose it. After another shower in the morning and cleaning up, she had put on a pair of shorts and tank top before having her breakfast - a pretty tiny breakfast of toast and butter, with nothing else on them even though there was plenty of options in the larder. Her wounds were still sore but not as bad as the previous night thankfully.

She idly chewed as she considered her days plans. She'd need to check on the machines first, then there was the more important matters...and if she would go to the institute after the previous day. It was undecided at that point.

After last night, she guessed that the cameraman following her had good enough footage not to be too much in trouble for letting her escape...again.

Although it really was not his fault

Galatea was wearing an ensemble of low cut jeans, black tank top and a matching deep green hoodie. It was a simple wear but model gonna model

Knowing the camera patterns she dodged them until it came time to knock on the front door.

There was a pause and a frown. She wasn't expecting Jane, also Jane had keys...and someone knocking was very strange.

She got up, grabbing her spare black hoodie from the chair and putting it on. Putting it on and moving to the door but not opening it.

"Who is it" she said through it in a tone that would be generously considered unfriendly.

[Galatea]

'It's me darling.'' Galatea answered back ''I told you I'd come to check up on you. I brought some medical stuff, food and a leather jacket with a hoodie...very fashionable stuff, very underground counter-culture, you'll look great in it.''

[Frozen Shadow]

The door was unlocked and a hooded girl (in a slightly different hoodie to yesterdays shredded one) peeked out.

"You didn't have to bring anything" she said, looking to check if she was alone.

''It's common courtesy dear...and do you look like you need some protein.''

[Frozen Shadow]

There was a long look around, before she finally stepped back and opened the door enough for galatea to come in.

"I have food here though. I was just eating breakfast in fact. Come in though, as you came out anyway."

[Galatea]

''Thank you darling.'' Galatea stepped inside and made her way to the kitchen, visibly knowing the layout of the place ''Having food and having proper nutrition are two separate things Miss Shadow.''

[Frozen Shadow]

The only thing that was different in the kitchen was the plate on the table, with one and a half slices of toast that had been buttered and the knife and plate were on the table still. There was a glass of water and a packaging most likely from tablets.

"I know nutrition. How much fruit and other stuff needed, how much meat for proteins and all that. I've looked after my self for a long time you know" the girl had locked the front door again and moved back to pick up the half-eaten toast and bit into it, chewing before adding "I just picked simple stuff that were at arm height now. That's it. What happened after I left?"

''I figured you did'' she replied with a smile ''I'll make you something simple but good: Nature yogurt and pitted dates. Dates are fairly cheap here so you can enjoy this treat fairly often.''

She began unloading and put the jacket on the chair

''Nothing much: ambulances arrived, so did Tsehay Moqe. We cleaned, removed rubble and gathered samples of what remained of the creature.''

The girl stared at what was being unloaded from under her hood with a small frown as she sat down by the toast.

"I have nothing to give you in return except what's in the stores."

She bit into the toast again before speaking.

"I left in time then. I don't want to cross paths with that woman and I did what was needed. No reason to wait around."

[Dapper Dog]

Out front, the two can hear a vehicle pull up.

[Galatea]

"Don't worry darling. There is no need to repay anything, Injuste want to know you are okay"

She turned her head towards the car sound

"Agent Forester, I presume?"

[Frozen Shadow]

"Nobody ever..."

She was stopped at the sound of a car.

"I wasn't expecting anyone" she got out of her seat quickly and went to peek out of the window.

[Galatea]

''You flew directly to here from the site yesterday?'' she asked, wary

[Frozen Shadow]

"I flew a wide arc around and I fly quietly" was her response as she studied who was outside

[Galatea]

"Let's hope it's agent Forrester" Galatea moved towards a window, trying to peek at the outside

[Dapper Dog]

Agent Forester entered the farm house, usual business casual agent wardrobe. She had a bag with some groceries and set it on the table and then, assuming they are not hiding, found the two and said, “Oh good morning, didn’t think you would have guests.”

“Agent Forester, Galatea, right?” she said as she started putting some canned goods away in the cabinets. “Eventful night, last night, huh?”

When it just turned out to be Jane the girl moved away from the window back to the table as she came in.

"It wasn't planned" the girl replied, letting the other woman do her own introductions. Just biting her toast again under her hood.

[Galatea]

"Well met agent Forester. You are correct, I am Galatea." the golden replied with a charming smile, having returned to position after Frozen

"I am supplementing miss shadow's breakfast with yogourt and dates, should I prepare a portion for you as well?"
