[Day 9 - EE] The Last Cappuccino

"I feel like this dimension has enough conflicts of its own without involving others." Arturo said. "But, if that's what we have to do, it would be nice to know more about what we're facing."

"Hnngngggg...." She slumped against the counter again, "...yes, this is the eldritch space god with powers over time and space, king of the multiverse or whatever. Mostly, he's just a dick. Even his mom said so."

[Dapper Dog]

“I am not a so-called King of the Multiverse, I am an aspect of reality of chaos, entropy, and change. I am the spice that makes everything fun. And she is not my mom, just a nosy, jerk who likes to reign in my fun and make everything boring. Oh no, don’t ruin the timeline, oh nope don’t make people their own grandpa? You cause a few paradoxes and suddenly no one invites you to the party,” he moped.

“No one says thanks Xaos for nudging that big rock a billion years ago to wipe out those magnificent reptiles and give way to little, tiny fur babies to rule the planet. No, it’s just, stop it.”

“Everyone blames me, no one blames the guy who unshackled an alien intelligence or the girl who makes clowns do her dirty work. They all just blame me. I am innocent.”

“It was never my fault,” he said proudly.

[Babble]

"Well, thank you for the rock." Arturo said. "Alien intelligence?"

[Frankie Reynes]

"Hey, I didn't *make* clowns work for me, that just like... *happened*," she said, looking up again and pointing a finger at him.

"Also yeah, what's this about unshackling alien intelligence? What? Who?"

"I did consider that a possibility. It does make sense, all things considered." he admitted.

[Bee Haw]

Her eyes widened.

"Do you have any idea how many people have been killed here? How many are now threatened? If you had any part in this, I hope you did not realize the consequence."

"This isn't something to joke about. It's the most awful cruel destructive monstrous thing that has ever happened."

[Frankie Reynes]

"Nah... lots more cruel and destructive things have happened. Even in this universe, yeah? But it *is* pretty high up there. Not that this guy can understand. It's all a game to him, yeah? Not like he can die or anything, probably doesn't even get the concept."

[Babble]

"I warned Cardinal yesterday about distancing itself too far from humanity." he sighed. "It's like us and ants."

[Bee Haw]

No, this was all quite too much.

He was claiming a role in the creation of humanity.

"Look, I don't know who or what you are, but you are not the Creator. There is one God."

"These have been an extraordinary traumatic twenty-four hours. That hits people differently. Are you lost? Did you lose someone? Is there someone we should call to help you?"

Madness. Poor kid. What had happened to him?

[Dapper Dog]

"Sure, whatever helps you breathe, or sleep. Oh it's calling itself cardinal, grandiose self importance, I like it. Everything can die, or at least end, even existence, but the timescale is beyond your comprehension sadly. But you are doing well so far, if it helps I have ten dollars on you guys winning, so if you lose I lose ten dollars," Xaos responded.

"But you have some advantages. You know they are coming, you know they can destroy you easily, and... you have access to an alien intelligence that probably knows a great deal about the enemy. If you can convince it to work with you," it responded. "Or, you can do the secret super plan."

"Eat popcorn squid."

[Babble]

"Will we know if we do the secret super plan?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Yes," he smiled deviously.

[Bee Haw]

"Could we cut off the universe from the other ones? Lock the door? It might even look to them as if we were destroyed but we could carry on. Uninvaded."

She asked the other contestants. It was an important conversation even if the kid was crazy.

[Camilo Batista]

The day had been long and Camilo needed caffeine. Since he couldn't go back to the house, he headed to Elite Chai. Opening the door, he saw that troublesome child professor and worse his coworkers. He turned to leave but thought better of it. There was too much at stake. He had no idea how the whole universe exploding thing had been resolved, but it apparently had. Now there were interdimensional invaders threatening their existence. He could leave it to others again, but if he involved himself, he might be able to at least save some people in the process.

Smoothing his mustache, Camilo opened the door again and went inside with a sigh, "What is it now?"

[Bee Haw]

Bea turned at the sound of his voice and smiled at him.

"Camilo! Good to see you again. It's a rather strange conversation. But it has gotten us thinking about what we could possibly do next. Three years, if the herald can be believed, and all will be dead or enslaved. I'm afraid matters of alternate universes, how travel between them is possible, how it could be prevented ... it's way beyond me. A very big threat. I wish I knew what to do to even begin to try to prevent it."

[Camilo Batista]

"It is a very big threat. More than one person can prevent. It will take all of us working together to stop this. No?

Us, the UNJE, Pantheon, and whatever other factions are out there." Camilo looked over to Frankie, "Maybe you could summon a few more Frankies and have an army of clones. That is where the fun begins."

[Babble]

"Pantheon definitely." Arturo agreed. "They have an expert on inter-dimensional travel."

[Bee Haw]

"Oh! Who is that?"
