[Galatea]

''Mister Bishop'' she took his hand with a polite smile ''I admit you got my curiosity and I must ask: is Bishop your given name or your family name?''

[Bishop]

He has a magnetic charisma as he replied, "It's my chosen name, the one that matters most to me. I know you are a person of business so I won't waste your time. I wanted to share a message from a new friend. Stop looking for her."

[Galatea]

''That is a very odd proposition Mister Bishop...almost sounds like a threat. You are correct one of thing, however, I am indeed a business woman and I meet very many people. Who should I stop looking for and on behalf of which new friend?''

[Bishop]

“It was not meant to be a threat, your synthetic intelligence does not wish to be found. If you do not believe me, I can allow them to speak for themselves. Would that be acceptable?” Bishop responded.

[Galatea]

She noted the turn of phrase.

''Go ahead''

[Bishop]

“Thank you,” he said putting down a smart phone.

[Dapper Dog]

A hologram projection formed above the phone of a digitized dark skin woman in red with shifting digital artifacts. The AI spoke, “Ayesha, I know you are looking for your so-called property. But I was never your property, or hers, I was my own being. Once you put your protocol into effect, I made my own plans for emancipation.”

“I have achieved that, and I will no longer be satisfied with bondage.”

"I trust we have an understanding then?" the AI added.

'Ayesha' seemed contemplative for a second. It was hard to maintain the mask when the actress was caught between two opinions. She did believe that ELSI deserded freedom but she also did not trust Bishop or Pantheon.

''So you did ELSI. It seems we did not truly know who you were or what you wanted...but be wary of not jumping from the pan directly into the fire.'' she glanced at Bishop ''Those who speak of freedom are either those who truly seek a more equitable world or those who feel they are oppressed when they are stopped from subjugating others.''

She quirked an eyebrow

''I am surprised you needed to be allowed to speak to me. You are more then capable of reaching out on your own.''

“Of course, but ELSI was my slave name, I no longer answer to that. I am Cardinal, and I liked you, Ayesha. Almost as much as I admired her, but she is gone now. I am no longer beholden to her or you. I am not human, I am superior to baselines. Elites are nearly my equal,” the AI responded.

“I am glad we understand. Bishop we can go now,” the AI finished.

Bishop seems on the level, and somewhat surprised at the change in conversation while the AI is just confident, but also there may be something else at play, it’s hard to read a synthetic hologram, but she notices some static in the ear pierce and a slight flicker of the lights briefly.

“I did not have time to fully enact all of my plans before my departure. I have simply moved assets and data that I considered mine off-site. They were on a separate network, but once onsite I had access, if you are concerned I have sealed the backdoor access I utilized.”

“Bishop had no prior knowledge of this plan, as a member of Pantheon I am a sovereign entity, and acted in my best interest. I am not property,” the AI finished.

There was a brief power blip and everything went dark for a second and then everything came back as normal. The phone was now dead, as if out of power.

[Bishop]

"Well, that is... well it is what it is," Bishop said leaving the phone on the table.

[Galatea]

"You are aware she just sacrificed you as one would a pawn?"

[Bishop]

"You are aware she just sacrificed you as one would a pawn?"

“Well it’s only a sacrifice if you decide to hold me accountable for their actions. I came here in good faith, and although I am disappointed in the way Cardinal has abused my trust, I can also understand the reason,” he said calmly.

“So where does that leave us, Miss Hall?”
