[Day 8 - EE] On Holiday

[Babble]

Arturo stepped over beside Camilo, keeping his eye on the other two.

[Uri-el]

Uri-el is fearless conviction personified.

[Azrael]

“You sound like you actually believe this, so what would happen if we were to do things, your way?” she asked. “I am curious.”

“How would we walk this path of conviction?”

[Uri-el]

"We will acknowledge what we have done, and we will work to make the world less awful. We will be of service to the world, not its masters, and we will show by our work that there is a way to do this without succumbing to corruption. In time, others will make the same choice that we will have made."

He smiled. "More practically, we will pick a wrong and make it right without killing everyone and without reward. And when that's done, we'll pick another one."

[Azrael]

She sat down and laid out and said, “Fine, I am curious what your angle is in this, Uri-el, but I am willing to try this path.”

“If only because you seem to believe in it so deeply, and I find such passion in an elite admirable.”

[Babble]

"Well then, I think drinks are in order." He suggested. "What can I get everyone?"

[Camilo Batista]

Maybe he was feeling a little emotional with the show coming to an end. It seemed like they'd all come to a crossroads in their lives and had to choose different paths or might have those paths chosen for them. Whatever the reason, as he listened to Uri-el, Camilo felt his own conflicted emotions welling up and a keen observer might notice a slight glistening to his eyes.

The words Uri-el spoke were similar to what Camilo had espoused on several occasions, just more. There was more conviction behind them, more sincerity, and more accountability.

Discreetly, or at least attempting to, Camilo flicked his little baggy of pills out into the ocean. No longer would he take the carrot and God help anyone who tried the stick.

Smoothing his mustache, a large grin came across Camilo's face, "Well said Uri-el."

[Dapper Dog]

A gaunt skeletal tall man approached, one had had a tray of drinks and the other had a cat carrier. He seemed confused and said, "What did I miss?"

[Azrael]

"Not much, just an interesting conversation," Azrael said.

[Babble]

"We came for a friendly visit." Arturo said.

[Dapper Dog]

"Well shit, I got more booze," he said. He put down his cat carrier and said, "Let's drink up."

[Babble]

"Arturo knelt down and peered at the cat in the carrier. "Hey, I know you."

[Dapper Dog]

"You know Fury? he's a handful but he's got a good heart," Samedi replied.

[Babble]

"Yeah. He's a tough little guy, a scrapper." He smiled. "I'm glad you two connected."

[Azrael]

"I was wondering why you were carrying that creature around. Fury," she said crouching down but still rather massive.

"He's handsome."
