Azrael was enjoying her down time, she didn’t like people most days and the solitude brought by her anger issues meant that going on holiday was often a solo affair, but this was less a holiday and more a brief excursion from other matters drawing her attention so she was not alone much to her chagrin.

Still she was not completely antisocial and enjoyed the evening on the beach with fancy drinks and decent company, so she laid back and enjoyed her tropical drink, she could not get a tan, her skin would adapt too quickly and her body protected itself.

OOC: Open to Uri-el and up to three other players, this could become a very dangerous thread so be forewarned.

Physics tells us that the universe expands--an ever-widening ring of matter filling the limitless void of no-time and no-place. What physics does not tell us, but we know to be true, is that it can just as easily contract. Sometimes quite rapidly. And all of the works and days of our lives can be visited upon us as soon as we raise our eyes from our tools, sit down, and take a moment to reflect.

And while, for many, that work is all done on the mental and emotional level, slipping and bouncing along the chutes of memory, careening through trauma's canyons, it was not to be that way for Azrael. Not today.

Because today the past showed up.

And it was on fire. And carrying a sword.

With the show coming to an end, Camilo decided to come scout out the Null Zone. He'd heard nothing but good things, but wanted to see it for himself before he brought Frankie here.

No better way to test the vibe than a calm and peaceful weekend away.

OOC: I will leave this open till noon today, and the proceed with what we have.

Arturo had come as well, wanting to see what the Null Zone really was.

Azarael, assuming the angel did not hide their presence, removed her shades and said in German, “I did not order any drinks. Thank you.”

OOC: Unsure of if they came together or separately but moving forward. Now locked in.

If was hard to miss Uri-el's grand arrival. The vibe was suddenly becoming not so calm and peaceful. But Camilo felt relief. Both that he had decided to scout it out before bringing Frankie and that he would be here if his friend got into something he couldn't handle.

(OOC) I didn't know if we'd arranged to come together and I haven't really been involved in this plot line. But I didn't see anyone else jumping in, so I figured I would happen to be in the area if and when things go down.

Babble had come with Uri-el and dropped to the ground once he could do so safely. He held out his empty hands in a peaceful gesture.

"You look familiar," she said to Babble in German, "What are you doing here?"

"We met on the ship." he replied in German with a nod. "When you freed ELSI, or Cardinal. I have spoken with them since, along with Bishop and Samedi Jackson. I wanted to see the Null Zone."

Uri-el looked between the two, unsure of where Babble was taking this and unable to speak German.

"What is going on?" He asked in English.

"Azrael wanted to know why we were here." he answered. "I gave my answer. I want to learn more about this place."

Uri-el blinked. "Right." He turned back to Azrael. "Whereas I am here to hold you accountable for your actions, and to be held accountable in return."

Babble translated. Then, he turned back to Uri-el. "This is meant to be neutral territory. Licenses or not, our actions here aren't likely to be sanctioned."

She switched to accented English, “Well so much for my holiday. Accountable to who? The UNJE? You? What people do you possibly fight for and why? Do you even know? What does accountability even look like, a lifetime in a prison that will fail to contain me?”

Camilo watched at a distance while Arturo chatted with the demon looking woman. They seemed to know each other, so maybe not bad vibes. Probably just the whole demonic angelic optics she and Uri-el had going on, easily led to misunderstandings.

That was good, because Camilo wanted to keep relaxing in his board shorts and slides. He hadn't come to the Null Zone for a fight, although he heard that was an option if you wanted. Maybe another time. His choice of poisons tonight was a little bag of pills in his pocket waiting for the right time. Maybe these guys wanted to chill.

As he drew closer, he heard Babble translating and Uri-el's response. Okay, so he wasn't mistaken with the vibes earlier. Definitely bad blood there. He rooted for Babble playing peacemaker while debating his options. He could walk away... although he really couldn't. He could step in and try to help diffuse the situation, not really his speed though. Speaking of though, maybe she'd be down to party, a little distraction.

Walking up to the group, he held out the baggy in an outstretched hand. "Not sure what's going on here. But maybe some party favors can help? Smoke the peace pipe. No? Although if that's your things I'm sure we can find one."

"This is about peace, Camilo. Peace and accountability. Not to UNJE, but to the world and everyone in it. To the Elites, and to the unevolved, and to me, and to Babble and most of all, to you, Azrael. To yourself. You have shed much blood, in Ethiopia, in New York, in Berlin. You have killed the guilty and the innocent. You have walked a harrowing path across the face of the world, and at every step you had a choice. A choice to continue, or a choice to turn aside. I am here to formalize that choice, to offer you the alternative. Confess at the crossroads," he held up his phone, "choose another path, and I will walk with you out of the hell that you are living."

"And that means what?" she replied. "I am not turning myself over to the UNJE or baseline authorities. What path do you walk, Uri-el? Since this all means so much to you."

"It means we pick a spot and begin again. No walls, no killing. We would be accountable to ourselves first, living a standard that the UNJE could not hope to meet. A standard defined by conscience, writing a new story of what it is to be Azrael, living by example."
