Thousand Miles collapses after the teleport, the system checks in and as far as Bee Haw can see his body crumples and there is no life in him. She can see Lil Disaster finishing his trench and he said, “Shit, Baddie Bea, you alright?”

OOC: Bee Haw should be at -1 Toughness and Dazed and Impaired.

Outside the Simulation

Thousand Miles is laying on the floor of the danger Room, no longer in the simulation. ADINA appeared and had medical staff check him over before directing him out of the room. He is free to leave or can check into the watch thread.

Bea was in pain. She tried to focus.

Miles! Oh no. Oh no. At least they'd gotten the schoolchildren clear of that awful poison.

(Does there still appear to be an unconscious body that needs protecting?)

She looked up at LD's voice. The trench! Was the lava successfully diverted?

"I'm ... poison ... I'll be alright. There are still people to rescue at the hotel. Is the lava diverted?"

Definitely not at her best.

She took a second to look around. Were some people outside the hotel already? Was the fire alarm triggered? She couldn't move yet, but she could look. Not yet bees. Just using her special omniscient vision to start looking inside the resort before she could move. Were people in danger from fire? Trapped? What was happening?

Getting her wits slowly she can see the devastation from the eruption and in the distance the slow flow of the magma. The building alarm seemed to be going off and people were making their way to the ground floor. Thankfully the few fires present were not as dangerous as at the school the real danger was the incoming pyroclastic flow…

But people were trying to flee away from it, but it was doubtful they could make it given the speed of the oncoming toxic gases. They would probably need more time to escape it…

Lil Disaster tried to help her up.

"It's coming too fast. The people need more time to get to safety."

"LD, can you push the incoming flow back with explosions? Force it back or just hold it in place for a bit? To buy more time?"

She didn't have power over time, or changing the shape of land, or air. Bees had a certain understanding of air, of flight, of weight and movement in air. Think. Think.

Would the people be safer changing course and going up to the highest level of the resort? Could they stay above the gas? Were the particles denser than air? Was it clinging to the ground?

“Blowin’ shit up… yeah I can do that, Baddie Bee. What’s the worse that could happen? Universe explodin’” he joked.

“Tell this sheep to get upstairs, maybe they can get above the bad gases.”

Bea was good at inspiring and coordinating people. She gave them a yee haw, we can do this, speech. She had a presence. An ability to coordinate the choreography for a large crowd, so they moved efficiently, and in good spirits.

"Move to the highest floor. Quickly. This way. You can do it!"

[Lil Disaster]

Lil Disaster posted up outside the building, the oncoming flow of toxic gases was rush though the city destroying everything. He steeled himself and began creating controlled, well controlled for him, explosions to kbuy the civilians time.

“Let’s fucking go! This one is for the Disaster Fam, because the D AIN’T LITTLE!” he shouted as the flow grew closer and closer. But the explosions never stopped… until he was finally engulfed.

But the people were saved. Well the ones inside the hotel anyway.

[Bee Haw]

The people in the hotel were safe and sheltering in place.

The schoolchildren and teachers were safe.

Was LD okay? She was pale. (But also proud of his epic heroism!) But worried.

She flew out to check on him, hovering above the ick, putting all her senses to work to find him. She'd definitely fly down and pull him out of the gunk if he needed.

And ... were there still other people to rescue?

Lil Disaster was smoking, his skin burned and uniform charred. He was standing weakly and then said, “Don’t forget to like… subscribe… my dudes?”

Then he collapsed.

She hugged tight to him, to lift him to the safety of the hotel.

"Oh, LD. That was so brave! You did it!"

And then, she'd start searching the area (remote viewing, via her powers). Was there anyone left to help?

The AI appeared and the simulation froze besides the Elites. It said, “You have completed the scenario, loss of human life is at 78.4% which is in expected results. You can leave the scenario now, medical staff are standing by but you should have no lasting injuries.”

Who had they missed? What else could they have done? Her face fell.

People had died. They felt real to her.
