“It sounds wild and the more I hear the less sense it makes, mate, but it’s also cool. Bruv, this is a wild crazy world, but I am glad it has people like you trying to help people. And hopefully less people with powers not trying to help,” she said.

"It's a lot to take in... I'm beginning to understand why no one at the Institute had filled you in yet. Provavelmente it would have been better to take this all in small doses. No?" Camilo chuckled silently, both in nervousness at overwhelming Frankie and for the similarities of the English 'doses' and Portuguese 'doses'. Taking little shots to make it go down easier.

He was going to go into the DCP and Mexico City, but decided the history lesson could wait for another day.

"That's why I'm here. In Mudaba Adin and at the Institute. I want to be part of the Justice Elite. They use their powers to help people and stop anyone trying to use their powers to hurt others."

"Wow..." she finished her burger and then added, "So, the Justice Elite is all people with powers that help people? That's a noble thing to be apart of, mate."

"So, bruv, what happens when bad people get these powers, how do you stop people like that?"

"The Justice Elite are like the disaster response and swat teams rolled into one. If it's natural or man-made, if it's unintentional or malicious, if it's going to affect a large number of people then they could be called on to step in. There are even people without abilities trained to respond as well.

As far as stopping them, that is a big part of what we are training for. No? You saw last night. You wouldn't recognize him, but the masked man we caught is very famous, very infamous. He is a vigilante from the United States."

[Dapper Dog]

"So he was a bad guy, yeah?" she asked. "I guess I am sort of glad to have helped, just wish it wasn't in my birthday suit, mate."

[Camilo Batista]

"I guess some people would say he's not a bad guy. I might have agreed with them at some point. But working with Detective Nasir, one of the locals who helped me get licensed, and getting more involved... I see the need for checks and balances.

Someone, especially with abilities like ours, goes off unchecked and a lot of innocent people get hurt. It was like that in Rio even without taking abilities into account. Even if people aren't caught in the crossfire, who's to say you as one person have it all figured out and can know who is guilty and who isn't and who's to say you get to choose how that person is punished?"

Camilo laughed good heartedly at the circumstances of her help. "It was very awkward, but also very helpful. No? If you hadn't knocked him down so I could get that solid hit, I don't know how long we would've been going at it. He was a very tough fighter."

"So we could just book it's complicated, init," she responded. "It was very awkward, but I am glad I could help, yeah. Just not in me birthday suit, bruv. So you sweet on anyone, yeah? I'm catchin' a vibe, mate, and just tryin' to read it right."

His eyes widened for a moment at such a direct approach. Although Camilo wasn't unpopular, he'd been mostly busy in his formative years. Either strung out or healing some narco. Since then he'd driven by a mix of getting away and striving towards. Which is to say he'd never had what could be called a relationship.

"Ummm, sim... ou não." He cleared his throat and took a slow sip of his smoothie. "No, I'm not seeing anyone and yes there is a vibe. It is very silly, we've only known each other for a very short time."

He smothered his mustache grooming it while trying to think of the right words. "I have never been saved before. I was always doing the saving or saving myself. Too strong? Yeah, probably too strong. He didn't know how to approach Frankie like he might another girl. Another reason this felt more significant. Also the other two Frankies did make it weird, probably shouldnt have brought them up.

"Yeah, just see how things go." Camilo slurped the last of his smoothie.

"Should we go do some shopping for tonight? I found out this morning the get together might have a costume contest. Am I wrong to guess you are the competitive type too?"

"Yeah, better out here than stuck at home," she said with a warm smile.
