[Day 7 - LA] Pumping Thunder and Iron

[Kid Thor]

“Yes, my father is Odin and Joro, my mother. I guess that isn’t a thing here in this reality. Asgard is a beautiful place, I remember it fondly in my previous life before I was trapped in the earth realm. It’s a long story,” Kid Thor admitted.

“Pantheon, those are your villains, correct?”

[Babble]

That caught Arturo's attention. Setting his baston aside, he approached the conversation.

[Galatea]

"Yes. Supremacists that thinks that someone having the capacity to shoot lasers from their nipples elevates them above humankind."

[Frankie Reynes]

"They can shoot lasers from their nipples? Not gonna lie that's prettty badass."

[Galatea]

Le sigh

"It's a manner of speech"

[Kid Thor]

“Well Supremacists are never cool,” Kid Thor said. “Laser Nipples or not, they are bad people and we should resist them at all costs.”

[Camilo Batista]

"Are you havin' a laugh at us bruv? You're not really the son of Odin." He looked over to Frankie I for confirmation then gave up any hope for accurate information there and looked back to Kid Thor.

"That's just part of your story. No? You can drop the veil here and just be you." Then Camilo looked around and noticed the cameramen attached to various contestants. Or maybe not.

[Kid Thor]

Kid Thor said, "I am not trying to trick you, it's true. Odin is my father, and my mother is Joro, mother of the Earth."

"It gets strange I guess, technically I am younger than my kids... but that's from a previous life."

[Camilo Batista]

Kids? Camilo arched an eyebrow at that. Not only because he looked so young, but because he was an Elite. He didn't know what to believe at this point. Maybe this was a better conversation to have away from the cameras.

He looked to Cowgirl, "So are you the Lone Ranger reborn?" He asked mostly joking.

[Cowgirl]

Cowgirl smiled and said, “No, nothing like that. I am just the bearer of the Lasso of Justice given to my great-great grandma by Bass Reeves an inspiration for the Lone Ranger. I come from a lineage of Cowgirls who have all fought justice and defended the American way.”

“So nothing like Kid Thor.”

[Babble]

"Bass Reeves?" Arturo asked. "Handed down from a legend is a bit like Kid Thor."

[Cowgirl]

"Bass Reeves?" Arturo asked. "Handed down from a legend is a bit like Kid Thor."

“One of the first Marshalls for Oklahoma, it’s a whole thing, great man,” she said warmly.

[Frankie Reynes]

She'd shrugged when Camillo looked at her for confirmation. Everyone on Earth-564 knew the story of Kid Thor. She wasn't actually sure if she and they came from Earth-564 though, or whether Earths had numbers; she'd just made that part up in her head-canon.

"Bruv, my neighbourhood got flattened by an alien spaceship a few years back. We have Asgardians, mutants, people with mystical powers, and all sorts of stuff yeah? And I told you I met those multi-dimensional eldritch space gods yeah? Where we're from, some people with powers are from other worlds. Some of them trained hard, init? Some got gifted their abilities by talking cats, or falling into a vat of chemical ooze, or getting bitten by radioactive ticks, yeah? Or stuff just happens and it's weird yeah, like with me? Being the reincarnated god of thunder isn't that weird really. Just metal."

[Galatea]

''Well at least now we know we can reply to him with 'OK Boomer'. Double time with the thunder thing''

[Kid Thor]

"I got that reference," Kid Thor responded.

[Galatea]

''Okay boomer'' she had a playful smirk ''Shall we continue?''

[Dapper Dog]

Kid Thor smiled and was thrilled to do more training. He engaged her in close combat drills pressing her to improve her game. He could combine his powers with his fighting techniques and made sure to use them to great effectiveness.

Understanding the basics, the forms and the flow of things was easy on paper.

Actually doing it in a body unequiped for it, not so much

Kid Thor assessed her and said, “Not bad, but when you did the smashing, you were huge like Giant huge. Why not practice how you actually fight?”

[Galatea]

She used the pause to make use of a towel

"Power is one thing, skill another...in my mind at least. Things might be more difficult while I don't assume my giant form but I think it'll give me a better grasp on the basics."
