"Yes, fine, fine, speak very good English, number one," she said proudly.
Galatea gave the woman a nice smile

“The world is broken, maybe your eyes just see things as they are and not blinded by the veneer of optimism? Who can say? The world is filled with self-proclaimed heroes,” she continued in Greek.

“Play? This is all business,” she admitted in Greek. “When self-proclaimed godlings come to play in your backyard, one should observe and see if they are worthy of such lofty titles. Or are they simply children lording their superiority over ants. Not realizing that the ants outnumber them by the billions.”

She finished in fluent French, “But then again, I am just a silly Harlequin, pay me no mind.”
"Everyone wants to see the truth. But actual sight, true sight. It's as much a curse as a blessing. It means seeing everything for what it is, all the time, forever. Most people can take refuge in their own bullshit, I can't."
Her fist tightens around her drink.

"We wouldn't have a problem if you hadn't petulantly killed some of those ants when you couldn't get your way."
Shaking her head in frustration.

"Tell me you at least feel some remorse."

Miles nodded. "Zara always had big ideas," he agreed. "Did she persuade you to support the Cause, too? To be fair, it is a good cause that doesn't get as much attention as it probably deserves."
"There was no talk of a cause." His voice dropped to almost a murmur. "But there was a meeting with an organized crime syndicate and a lot of money being thrown around for information."

The woman listened and was suitably impressed with galatea and said she could add the work, with proceeds going to the aid groups. She gets the details and gets to work setting up the new auction piece.

The Harlequin listened and then said in Greek, “The loss of life in that incident was regrettable, it weighs on any soul. Though I find it regrettable that you would call the human lives just ants, but maybe I misjudged your moral compass.”

She added in French, “Many played a role in the events that ended with twelve souls removed from this world.”

Galatea would spin her web soon after. A mention there, smile and a compliment there. Her own bid on the piece to stimulate interest...she tried to set the dominoes in a row for a healthy sum.

After a while she made her way back to Hanh and Babble

His attention turned back to Bea and nodded. "We met at the EFL party a few months back. She was one of the more memorable moments of the party for me; the fight was...okay." He did also recall her leaving after all the drug use started, but no need to rehash all that.

She just smiled and placed a hand on his shoulder and then said, “Duty calls, please enjoy the evening.”

She departed into the sea of wealthy donors.

“Whoever damaged the unit triggered the explosion or tried to interfere with its operations. Security feature. There was no need to trigger anything, it was the expected result. But I see how you could be confused with that distinction,” the Harlequin responded in Greek.

“You say warlord as if it is a dirty word, it is simply a profession.” She added in French, “No French, true barbarism.”

She nodded when Raul mentioned the EFL event. She had been too distracted to pay attention to anything but a swift departure. She was glad they'd connected. She considered both Raul and Ynez to be friends. People she appreciated and admired.

Still she felt a flicker of shame. Ynez had proven to be a worker in philanthropy. Not just a celebrity-eager supermodel. She had to remind herself to ask questions about people, rather than making assumptions!

"Ynez, what is the name of the organization that you work for? With Zara Musa? Is it specific to charitable work in Singapore, or more broadly focused?"

And that was an interesting mention of Raul's father. "It sounds like your father's work kept him away from home a great deal. He is a UN diplomat? Did you get to travel with him sometimes?"

Ynez turned and handed Dawit and Bee pamphlets about the Malay Beneficiary Group, which has colorful and informational data on the organization. There is listed a site and links to their social media including videos of the projects in Singapore and testimonials from Mr. Chang and a few other business folks. They are glowing reviews.

Dawit seems impressed but also practical and willing to review with his people and decide later if he wishes to move forward.

She said to Bee Haw, “The Malay Beneficiary Group, we are focused in Singapore, but hope to expand if our backing allows.”

She then departed.

After a little promotion tour for the piece, Galatea rejoined the dating pair

''It is now on auction and there is a few bids on it already. I am quite sure that the Malay people will enjoy the fruits of your hard work miss Hanh.''

She tilted her head

''Said, what do you think of Tsehay Moqe?''
