''But her creation doesn't have the best of optics. Do you really intend to free her or just keep her and Adina for company? Surely you can see the problems someone coming in from the outside could imagine being there. I empathize with both of them, so to speak.''

“I am not holding ADINA hostage, we have a mutual understanding, and HANA is not ready to be on her own. The moment anyone realizes what she is, or made of, she would be stripped down for parts if not destroyed outright. If I am her techno-daddy then I am responsible to make sure she is ready to stand on her own when the time comes,” Janus-404 responded.

''I know very well what she'll face...and that you'll need another's touch. You are good at what you do but you can't give her everything she needs from the bottom of a lab.''

She hesitated a moment

''I believe we can have a mutually beneficial relationship.''

''An ally, a friend'' she replied simply ''I can't be everywhere and can't show what I can truly do unless things are dire...for good reason. It would be good if I had somebody I could rely on to help me when I'm restricted.''

"So mutual assured defense," he mused. "Alright, bet, we can work together. I won' reveal your secrets and you keep mine. We work together to make HANA the best we can make her."

''That is agreeable'' she replied with pragmatism ''Can I give you a side quest?''

"A side quest? You can at lest ask, sure," he offered.

''Ynez Garsiya'' She brought the picture up ''She works in modeling, had misadventures in Dubai according to her own account. She is also an Elite with subtle but potent attraction powers: everyone in the vicinity will bend over to please her, be friends with her. I can't figure out if she's aware of it or not but a power like that is dangerous, especially to herself.''

''Yes'' she replied ''If she's unaware of her own capabilities then a power like hers could drive people to increased degrees of obsessivity and desire for possession. Disaster following wherever she goes.''
