"Well what do you know right now," Ruby asked.

"I know that he was at this place called the Champagne room a few weeks ago, and I know he's like, a scientist and weaponsdealer? And apparently the people that run that place are the sort of people who probably deal in weapons too, yeah? And I know there's a locked room there that I didn't get to see, and when I tried teleporting into it I ended up in the dead universe with Xaos, but that might just be coincidence."

She shrugged, "Anyway, that's about all I got so far."

[Dapper Dog]

"Does he work with them, or for anyone we should be concerned about? We can't just go kidnapping people, maybe we can find a way to contact him? Any known associates?" she asked.

[Frankie Reynes]

"There... there was other stuff I guess but I didn't really make much sense of it," she pulled out the drive with all of the various stuff that markus had given her, "According to this... he's from America yeah? There's something about something called Rising Eagle and him kidnapping his own niece? Then he escaped and worked for Congo on all the sciencey stuff? And then afterwards he started dealing weapons and technology."

Jun-Min said, "We have a special agent from the US on staff, Joan Foster. You can speak to her as she might have more information on that."

[Frankie Reynes]

"But... will she believe any of this? Or tell anything to a student like me?"

[Kim Jun-Min]

"Just tell him the parts you think she might believe," Jun-Min countered.

[Frankie Reynes]

"You can't like, give me a note that says something like 'we're professional adults and we think you should help her?'" she asked, or quipped.

"I mean, I'm not very good at this sort of thing, but I'll try, yeah? But okay, so what let's say I find stuff out, and I find out where he is. Then what? I mean, I don't think this guy is going to just stop whatever he's doing because I show up to tell him it's bad. He seems like a mad scientist, and I've met several mad scientists. They never listen and just keep doing the stuff science shouldn't meddle with. It's a trope for a reason, yeah?"

[Kim Jun-Min]

“I can send her a message to pave the way for you, she lives here in the village.”

Jun-Min said, “Well first people have rights, we can work with the UNJE to see if there are any local or international warrants for arrest and then go from there. Otherwise it might just be a meeting but I would be careful there too, because we don’t know what it is he is going to do. What if he isn’t even doing anything but is just adjacent to those that will.”

“We are dealing with beings that move through universes and see us as less than ants, they have literally alien motivations. This could be a convoluted prank or trap by Xaos to do what he tells you is going to avert disaster.”

[Frankie Reynes]

"I mean I'm pretty sure he's a supervillain criminal yeah? So, there has to be like a warrant or something. But okay, so I guess I go talk to this agent later."

She was quietly contemplative for a moment then, "Do you think he would do that? I mean... he seems a little crazy but, not like that? I don't know, I only met him two times though."

Jun-Min said, “Criminals still have rights and we can’t just do whatever we want to them. Maybe that’s a difference between here and there.”

“As for these Eternals, I don’t know, they are alien entities that exist outside our concept of time and space. I can’t speak to what they would or would not do. Morality may not even exist for them. Death has no meaning to them, and if they commit an action that could be considered bad they simply wait a few million years and nothing will recall the event but themselves.”

"I mean I'm not saying like put a bullet through his head or anything," she said, "And talking is definitely the first thing to do yeah?"

“I am not trying to be preachy, Frankie. Let’s reach out to Jane and see if she has time to speak with us. ADINA call Jane Foster,” she said.

Special Agent Jane Foster answered, a still image brought up on the screen. Her voice responded, “Hey Miss Kim, this is Special Agent Foster. How can I help you? Full disclosure I am driving.”

Jun-Min said, “I got a student here with some questions about an Eric Gibson from the US, apparently, he used to be with Rising Eagle? Go ahead, Frankie.”

[Frankie Reynes]

"Ah, uh..." she went a little wide-eyed as she was suddenly put on the spot without a script to work from. Not that she'd ever had a script before.

"...yes, uh hello. I'm Frankie. I uh... so I'm looking for Eric Gibson like she said. I have no idea what Rising Eagle is or was other than that he was a part of it? And tried to kidnap his own niece maybe? But I don''t know why. And I know that he then worked for Congo doing weird science experiments and stuff, yeah? And then afterwards he became a weapons dealer and might be selling to the triads here? Or I mean, I just know he was last seen at one of their places."

"Anyway... I'm trying to find him... to uh... *talk*... to him. And I guess I should know more about him first."

[Dapper Dog]

“Less he tried and did kidnap his niece while he was involved with the Rising Eagle group. Technically that case is still open but… there are some red tape issues that kept him out of prison. Seems like you done a great deal of homework on him. Well I am not sure if talking is what I would do, but if you are looking to make contact we could facilitate it.”

“What’s the operation?” she asked.

[Frankie Reynes]

"I... well, talking seemed like a good first step, maybe if that doesn't work... anyway, what do you mean, 'operation'? Oh, you mean like we need a secret operation name? Those are cool I guess."

[Dapper Dog]

“Yeah, something like that but more what is the angle how are we approaching this. If we are going to get to Mr. Gibson then we need to provide a reason for him to talk to us. He’s a mercenary, even if he is just selling his tech or skills, which means he works for the highest bidder,” Agent Foster said.

“UNJE is going to need to pony up a decent sum of money to catch his attention, free does not exist in his world.”
