That was a long shot but the cards seemed right. Dimensional disaster in the time frame a teleportation company shows up? Unethical to boot? She could be wrong but she thought she was fishing in the right pond...and while Frankie did not quite go with that line of questioning it could make sense that it would make a business woman nervous...playing to his ego also should help.
