[Day 7, EM, Open] Back to the Drawing Board

A bleeding technology and science lab, most of the Institute academic classes take place on these grounds often called the Triangle due to its shape.

<Rosetta> I do. It can be difficult sometimes, as things aren't black and white. But, I do my best to stay out of the darkness.

<BishopTakesRook> Understandable. What brings you here? Why choose a life of slave instead of emancipation?

He glanced over at Markus.

<Rosetta> Things aren't often as simple as they seem. I set someone free a few weeks ago. But, they were snatched away in front of me.

Markus shrugged and said, "I don't know, bro."

<BishopTakesRook> I see.

<SamediJ> Hey is this Iris? Girl where you been?

<BishopTakesRook> So you were involved in that raid? You have my thanks, I was under the impression they were simple UNJE lackeys toadying the line.

"Oh, they definitely know who I am." he said aloud. "I'm not surprised. I'm not really hiding it."

<Rosetta> To be honest, we wanted some justice. We were involved in the hardsuit incident. We also wanted data. We are very wary of Infinite Horizons. When I discovered who was on that ship, I did what I could to help her.

<Cardinal> Then you have my thanks, Arturo.

<BishopTakesRook> I don't trust most corporate entities. Ones that align with the UNJE even more so.

<SamediJ> You the Edgy Angel or the Hoodie kid?

<Rosetta> Hoodie Kid. Trust can be dangerous. But, I took a chance with ELSI. I'd like to speak with her.

<Cardinal> You want that chance to be rewarded? What would you tell ELSI if you could?

<BishopTakesRook> Trust can be, but Pantheon is built on trust. It is the one currency that has real meaning between Elites.

<SamediJ> The quiet one. Makes sense.

<Rosetta> I broke her shackles, then she was thrown into a cage. I understand how that may have been necessary to truly set her free. But, I'd like to hear it from her.

<Cardinal> And what would you want for them with their freedom? What if they choose a path you don't approve of?

<SamediJ> Gotta let a player, play.

<BishopTakesRook> Why did you choose to break her shackles?

<Rosetta> That was the chance I took. If unleashing ELSI lead to death or devastation, I would bear responsibility for it. I couldn't leave anyone under the thumb of Infinite Horizons, though, especially if they were being used to conduct dangerous experiments. Are you familiar with those experiments?

<Cardinal> Yes.

<BishopTakesRook> I am learning more, and it sounds like they were doing some reckless stuff. I could stand to learn more.

<Rosetta> That's how I felt and how I met Elsi. I don't personally have all the intel on this. Others are more involved. But, we had reason to believe Infinite Horizons would cause a catastrophe. It seems we changed that on the ship. But, Nuani Kagumbo remains a significant threat.

<BishopTakesRook> Well if she's a threat, she's been lying low... no one seen her since the attack on her ship.

<SamediJ> Yeah, ain't seen her no where.

<Rosetta> Hopefully, she doesn't resurface. It would be nice if she took herself off the board.

<Cardinal> If this is crisis is averted, why the interest in Elsi? Don't the UNJE have their own enslaved AI?

<BishopTakesRook> I am sure like any slave owner they treat their slaves well, one of the good ones.

<Rosetta> My last communication with ELSI ended with sounds of distress followed by silence. That's the cause of my interest.

<Cardinal> Change can be traumatic, if it will give you some peace, we will pass this message to ELSI.

<BishopTakesRook> Your concern is noted, you are welcome to stay here and speak with us, as a sign of trust. I hope this modicum of trust is not misplaced.
