"Cat's a terrible at keeping secrets." a hooded man nearby said.

[Thousand Miles]

"Supers are like a dime a pound yeah? Wait, does that even make sense to say? Anyway, you don't even know mate. I once saw a guy eaten alive by his own cat, and that isn't even that weird. Sometimes I have to have arguments with my dinner because it wanted to walk off and join the circus. And I'm talking like, rice and beans, so it's not as if it even makes *sense* for the dinner to turn sentient or anything."

"Anyway, don't put that thing about the cat online, yeah? They said I wasn't supposed to talk about that."

"That .... is quite a lot weirder," Miles admitted. "I argued about dinner, never argued with dinner."

"Cat's a terrible at keeping secrets." a hooded man nearby said.

The teen spun to point his phone camera at the new arrival. "Oh, hello! Are ... are you a cat expert?"

The change in direction made Miles catch a glimpse of something golden out of the corner of his eye. Wait.. what was that...?

[Babble]

"No." He shook his head. "I've just found that cats really like attention. They'll tell you anything."

[Frankie Reynes]

It wasn't clear how the guy had snuck up on them; but she'd gotten snuck upon enough times to know not to question it.

"Or eat anything when they mutate," she said, not skipping a beat.

[Babble]

"I don't know anything about mutations, but they aren't as finicky as the pretend to be." he agreed. "Just another play for attention."

[Thousand Miles]

"So are you Talks-To-Cats-Boy?" Miles asked. "Are you here for the contest and/or classes too? They call me Thousand Miles, and this is Just Frankie." He nodded his head towards the other teleporter.

[Babble]

"My name is Arturo. I'm good with languages." he said. "Nice to meet you. I'm here for the contest and to learn."

[Frankie Reynes]

"No, no," she said, rolling her eyes, "It's not *Just* Frankie, it's just... Frankie."

[Thousand Miles]

"Nice to meet you, Arturo," Miles replied. "So talking to cats is part of that? That's ... fascinating. What kinds of things do they say?"

"No, no," she said, rolling her eyes, "It's not *Just* Frankie, it's just... Frankie."

"Just... Frankie," Miles said, nodding and attempting to match the girl's intonation and timing. "Getting names right is important, I'll try to remember Just... Frankie."

[Babble]

"A person can have many names." Arturo said. "I think Frankie just wants to be Frankie."

[Galatea]

Galatea was sitting still, doing girl phone stuff

"Right, it's just Frankie... Frankie. Frankie Reynes."

There was clearly a language issue that neither Frankie nor Miles was quite understanding. Which was ironic, given present company.

[Thousand Miles]

"Oh, bet, just Frankie," Miles said, nodding as if this somehow made sense. "Wonder if evil Frankie calls herself something different. I'll get it straight after a few days, I'm sure."

"There isn't an evil Arturo, is there?" Miles asked curiously. "Seems to be a lot of evil clones running around."

[Babble]

"Not to my knowledge." he shrugged. "Of course, that's what an evil Arturo would say."

[Thousand Miles]

"What do the cats say?" Miles suggested. "Bet they know the difference between regular Arturo and evil Arturo. The animals always know." He tapped at his forehead in a gesture inspired by a "big brain energy" meme.

[Frankie Reynes]

Somewhere nearby, a frog was taking the time to deliver a perfect rendition of some famous play or some such. Like monkeys with a typewriter, only it was frogs. Of course, nobody would know it... given it just sounded like the usual frog croaks and ribbits. Unless someone also spoke frog. Unfortunately the frog vanished before he could be questioned. If he was ever even real to begin with.

"So wait, did I hear you right and you said there was a contest? Or is that the reality show thing I've 'eard about? What's that all about anyway? Someone said it was like Survivor:Croydon? You two got drafted into it by chance too? Or you sign up? And why, if so?"

[Babble]

"Usually, the cats just ask me why I haven't fed them." he said. "They haven't mentioned anyone else like me."

[Thousand Miles]

"So wait, did I hear you right and you said there was a contest? Or is that the reality show thing I've 'eard about? What's that all about anyway? Someone said it was like Survivor:Croydon? You two got drafted into it by chance too? Or you sign up? And why, if so?"

"Oh, I signed up," Miles replied. "It's a contest to get onto the newest UNJE Elite Team! Win or lose, the public notice would be incredible. I've already gotten hundreds more followers since signing up. Oh, uh, it's a chance to help people with our powers, too, I guess! Is that why you signed up? Or are you trying to foil some evil plot by your evil twin?"

"Usually, the cats just ask me why I haven't fed them." he said. "They haven't mentioned anyone else like me."

"I've never met anyone who can talk to cats. Just how good at languages are you?" Miles asked in Amharic with a British Chinese accent.

[Babble]

"Very good." He replied with a smile.

[Frankie Reynes]

"Oh... well damn, that sounds kind of like a bother, yeah? No, I didn't sign up but I'm signed up anyway. I guess I'll see how it goes then. You think there'll be mutant crocodiles to fight?"
