[Day 1 - MA] It's Alive?

[Markus Reed]

Markus had found a small lab to work in, a large seed-like white pod was placed on a lab table with various cooling tubes and wires connecting it to high tech equipment around the room. He was currently interfacing with three different computers around the room as he worked on bringing whatever this was online.

Just a small side project.

[Galatea]

A woman with a golden sheen was walking in the corridors of the science center. She was dressed professionally: A pair of high rise black suit pants with a pearl-white sleeveless blouse open at the neck and killer heels.

She held a small black fashionable black suit case, touring the campus in her off period

Why would a business student and super model tour the STEM center?

[Frankie Reynes]

She teleported her way into the building; one moment she wasn't there, then the next: oh shit! she was *totally* there! Anyway, one of the science experiment machines started beeping as its internal calculations were suddenly thrown off by the fact that the number PI had suddenly divided by zero, before the issue rectified itself as things sorted themselves out again. Only now there were a few more digits permanently added to PI. But nobody'd ever notice *that*, probably.

So why was she here? Well, she didn't *exactly* know what this place was about. But someone said it had something to do with "research", and she needed to do some of that herself, and she figured this place probably had the best wifi.

Reaching into nothingness; seriously, her hand just disappeared in mid-air; she pulled out a laptop. A big BELL logo on the case, as she opened it up to discover two things:

One, it was a plokzy layout.

And two: "It's a unox system!" she exclaimed, "I don't know this."

This was going to take some figuring out if she wanted to use this laptop to hack the Eric Gibson.

Markus just needed to eke out a smidge more power, don’t over do it. Just need to modulate the… and then power in that wing flickers and goes out much to his chagrin. This wasn’t good… he called for ADINA but with power out she had no real access at the moment.

And that’s when the electrical fire started brewing.

Well if he wasn’t expelled for this, he might just be responsible for burning down the STEM center.

Great.

He was surprisingly very effective but still getting power back on would be the most immediate need or his side project was toast.

OOC: Markus tries to battle the fire poorly DC 15 skill check | 1d20 ⇒ 20 a Technology check versus DC 14 will suffice to get power back if they wish to help.

[Frankie Reynes]

She was still in the midst trying to figure out the unox system on the laptop; and hadn't even managed to get to the point where she might start thinking about putting in the wifi password to *then* start thinking about opening a browser on the thing and hacking the eric gibson...

...when the usual sort of thing started happening.

"Ah, knackers," she said, getting up to start looking around, off-brand laptop under her arm.

Moments later she'd come upon the dude trying to get whatever it was going again.

"Bruv, you need to crosswire the green and reds, then reverse modulate the hyperwatt converter over there. No over *there*. No, over *there* there. Oh, I forgot I don't know what any of this stuff is."

She was being super unhelpful.

OOC: I'll offer Galatea a stab at it first, but if that's a no go, Frankie could... pull out a generator or something equivalent with her power, which would only work for as long as she doesn't switch out to another power in that array, but might be long enough to fix things?:

She was near the lab when things were about to go down. She came in, she saw and she...opened the breaker box to flip the proper switches to bring the power back in.

"Adina? Please engage a localised carbone dioxide or ABC powder fire suppressant here"

ADINA responded, “Of course Galatea, applying suppressant now. I have adjusted power requirements for this section of the building.”

The pod then hissed and slowly opened. Inside a humanoid figure stretched from a fetal position and then nimbly exited the pod. Mist and suppressant obscured their feminine like frame before it cleared revealing… well a humanoid android.

“Hello world,” it said with a modulated feminine voice.

[Frankie Reynes]

It was the golden girl who had saved the day of course, but Frankie liked to think she'd at least helped. She hadn't, but it was nice to have dreams, and all that. That's when the pod hissed and opened, and she took a step back.

"Bruv, it's a pod person!"

[Galatea]

Galatea's eyes grew wide with excitement.

"Oh! Hello darling." She eyed her over "You look positively fantastic"

[Dapper Dog]

The humanoid android cocked her head slightly to the left and said, “Galatea, Elite.” She looked at Frankie and said, “Frankie Reynes, Elite.”

She looked back to Galatea, “Thank you for the compliment. This unit is HANA.”

[Markus Reed]

“Humanoid Android Neural-net Automata, Hana for short. Nice huh? I kind of built her, well mostly,” Markus admitted.

[Frankie Reynes]

"Yo, that is badass. Why'd you build her looking so... well *built*... though?" She asked.

[Markus Reed]

“It’s totally not a sex thing!” he blurted out faster than he liked. “It kind of came that way, sort of… I mean I customized it a little, but it’s cool right?”

[Frankie Reynes]

"Wow wow woaw bruv! I was talking about the chrome yeah!" She said, deadpan, "But now it totally sounds like it was a sex thing. Hey HANA right? What do you think?"

[Galatea]

''It does sound suspicious, I'd have agree with Miss Reynes on that. Even if everything was innocent it...it does'nt hurt that she's a looker, right?''

Galatea eyed the techie suspiciously before returning her attention to Hanna

''Well met Hanna. You are perfect the way you look, don't doubt it, but we'll need to find you some clothes. You can't just let the gals and pals ogle your
sexy hardware for nothing dear...they need to prove that they deserve it.''

[Markus Reed]

Markus replied, “I… but, it’s not… I mean… oh no.”

[Dapper Dog]

“Given the speed of his reply and accumulation of sweat from his glands, it may be this so-called sex-thing. Meaning that he would engage in sexual congress with my frame? I have no opinion on this matter. Need more data.”

“Understood,” said Hana to Galatea.

[Frankie Reynes]

"Yeah, you should go all Johnny-5 on that data so that you'll have enough data to judge whether or not to avoid someone's Johnny," she said, referencing some old-ass movie that had totally rebooted into a massive multi-movie cinematic universe... at least where Frankie was from.

"In the meantime," she turned her head to HANA's creatior, "since you're a genius, you can make the awkwardness sting less by helping me figure out how to get this thing working so I can look up some names online."

She held out the laptop she'd procured from *somewhere* for him to take. "It's a UNOX system. I don't know UNOX. Also, the keyboard layout is all whack."
