[Day 2 - MA] Third Interview

[Dapper Dog]

A studio office upstairs is prepared for a comfortable interview between one of the producers and the Elite Academy contestant. It has large wall length windows allowing plenty of light and a great view of the Refuge, there is a small fridge stocked with water and refreshments and the crew is ready.

Time for an interview.

OOC: Open to any Contestant, fist come and first served.

[Galatea]

Of course she would be one of those going before the cameras. Who expected otherwise? She could not make it to the first interview due to some...other business but she was ready for this one.

Hair done in a french braid, she walked in the studio with a delightful tangerine orange side slit maxi dress with white details, a crossover neckline and short flutter sleeves

[Dapper Dog]

"Good morning," a man said in accented Portuguese as he entered and then took a seat across from her. He put down a coffee from Elite Chai and said, "Settling in?"

[Galatea]

Galatea gave the man a beaming smile

''Yes, quite! Even though I never really stayed in one place for this long in, like, forever.'' she replied in the same language

She proceeded to give him an appreciative nod

''I also have no spoken my tongue in a moment. Thank you for giving me the opportunity.''

[Dapper Dog]

"You're welcome, so what had you moving around so much?" he responded.

[Galatea]

''My work in modeling, mostly'' she replied ''Even for the limited amount of shoots I've been part of we'd have to travel in search of interesting locations. Brazil is a beautiful country but certainly also a big one''

She gave a lighthearted chuckle

[Dapper Dog]

"Do you think your work in modeling gave you some preparation for a public lifestyle?" he asked.

[Galatea]

''I'd like to think so yes. The feeling is different, mind you. In modeling it's more intense: several ours of preparations for what can end up being a few minutes for a handful of shots.''

She paused for effect

''But being continuously filmed? That's new...the vibe is different, more relaxed?''

[Dapper Dog]

"Being constantly filmed is more relaxed, now that you will have to explain," he asked.

[Galatea]

There was a laugh

''I know...that must sound weird, right?'' she paused to help shift the mood her way, a finger playing with her hair ''It's just that...'' she began somewhat coy ''...I already feel like I am watched all the time, y'know. People sneaking pics with their phone...others trying to film me without permission. I don't mind people coming to me and asking, I am always happy to help, but many takes things for granted...I guess''

She straightened herself

''At least here I know where the cameras are and they were kind enough to explain exactly how things would work. To make sure I was entirely on board. I appreciated that.''

[Dapper Dog]

“You know that will probably get even worse and even a harmless moment with a big name is going to get turned into a scandal,” he asked.

“Is that the life you want?”

[Galatea]

Galatea gave a knowing nod, followed by a smile

''You know, I think Paragon asked me the same question during the Fish Eagles and Sun Frog's match'' She suspected the reporter would not let that prime piece of meat go.

''I could not voice it well then but...I had this feeling, this question I think everybody has, lingering for a while: could I be doing more?'' she paused shifting to an air of resolution ''I have to try''

[Dapper Dog]

"So I have to ask what are your thoughts about Paragon, since you seem so close," he asked.

[Galatea]

She laughed heartily

And now to put a new spin on things

''We are just fellow football fans, soccer for our American friends.'' she paused for the football fans at home a chance to snicker at the silly Americans and for those same Americans at home to feel proud of getting a special mention.

''Above all I'd said that he is a good person...'' going strategically for the non-gendered 'person' instead of 'man' ''...like everyone I had a chance to meet at the UNJE Institute. I appreciate the work they have been doing throughout this process so far and it is my hope I might earn the honor of working alongside them in the future.''

That should restrain the flow of discussion

[Dapper Dog]

"So let's circle back, can you state your name, a brief bio and what your powers are?" he asked after taking a sip.

[Galatea]

''Of course! My name is Galatea, I come from the beautiful country of Brazil. I am known for my modeling career where I had the privilege of being chosen as the cover girl of a few magazines and my powers...''

she grinned mischievously

''...are not super flashy but are a surprise. You'll have to keep watching to find out.'' She gave a wink at the camera

[Dapper Dog]

He chuckled and said, “Fair enough, do you think your fellow contestants take you seriously or do they just see you as a vapid model?”

[Galatea]

Her eyes narrowed has she leaned slightly forward, her smile now something more playful

''Interesting question...why do you ask? Do you see me as a vapid model?''

The question redirected in a teasing tone

[Dapper Dog]

"Just going off responses from other contestants," he said. "You are competing with the others in the house."

[Galatea]

She gave a good hearted chuckle

''Of course dear, I am kidding. I expected this question, to be fair, but I am happy to say that everyone I met so far held no such assumptions. Sure, I've not met everyone but those I've had the pleasure to meet like Bee Haw or Thousand Miles are genuinely good and true people.''

She sat back straight

''We might be competing against each other but that can't stop us from making friendships''
