She was on edge but staying calm, for now.

Miles said nothing during the confrontation, startled that Tsehay Moqe seemed to have a huge problem with the random guy he had met at the kimchi festival. Could Bishop have Pantheon ties?

Curious, Miles followed the departing Bishop with his Thousand Mile Vision, trying to get some idea where the man was going next.

Bishop was good to his word as he walked away from the area and approached a waiting vehicle. A beautiful woman standing nearby was on her mobile. She greeted him and they seemed to have a conversation.

They were waiting for another person by the looks of things.

To the other Vigil attendees, it looked like Miles had zoned out. But Bishop's behavior had piqued Miles' interest, and after noting the car's license plate (it's just good detective work, after all) he continued watching Bishop and company with his Thousand Mile Vision to see what would happen next.

Bishop lit a cigarette and waited when there was a flash of orange smoke, and what could be described as an opening, a portal of sorts opened next to the car. A woman stepped through. She greeted the other pretty woman and then addressed Bishop.

She reached back through the portal and pulled a person through with something covering their face and then shoved them into the back of the vehicle. The rest got in as Bishop dropped the lit cigarette and stepped it out.

The vehicle then pulled away once all were inside.

Miles gasped. "What the f-" he started to say - then with a blink his vision returned to the Vigil where the other mourners were giving him funny looks.

"Sorry," Miles managed. By the time he pulled himself together and looked for the vehicle they had climbed into, it was gone.

"Oh, hi!" he smiled. "How are you? No serious injuries, I hope."

“Just some scrapes,” she said looking at the memorial. “I was so lucky, I am… it’s weird to think of how different yesterday could have gone if you were not there.”

“I wanted to thank you.”

"That's not necessary." he shook his head. "I wish I could have done more."

[Frozen Shadow]

With the situation somehow resolved by the attention-seeking woman Shadow had gone back to just watching. Although someone randomly calling out and nearly swearing had her attention again, and the hooded girl stared at that person for a few moments to see what was going on. Another conflict maybe?

"That's not necessary." he shook his head. "I wish I could have done more."

“I don’t think you could have done more, you did more than most people,” she said. “I just wanted you to know that I am grateful. Would it be weird if like my family invited you to our place for dinner? I guess big time Elites probably don’t do that.”

"I would like that. But, it might be weird for you and your family." he said. "I am part of the show they're shooting. They might want to film it."

"Oh... maybe it would be too boring for your show?" she asked.

"I don't know. They're filming us in classes and everywhere else. They'd probably see this as a good side story." he shrugged. "But, I don't want to intrude that much into your family home."
