[Day 2 - LE] Vigil for the Dead

She smiled at that and then the sky was lit up with bright lights and explosive lights like firecrackers. She narrowed her eyes and then more cracks and explosions until there are fascimle outlines of the deceased across the skies drifting in the nearly dark evening.

Then another set of explosions reads “Lil D.” like a signature. The reaction is varied across the crowd… but Tsehay Moqe does not seem impressed.

She smiled warmly and was a bit giddy, she turned to leave then turned back and gave him a kiss on the cheek if he let her and then departed.

Looking up at the sudden bangs, a frown crossed her hidden face.

"Goodnight." he waved. He might have said more, but the fireworks display distracted him. He shook his head at the signature, then made his way towards the crowd. He still needed to pay proper respects.

Arturo approached each individual memorial, said a prayer, and lit a candle.

Camilo was put on edge by the fireworks, at first assuming it was some type of follow up attack. Then he saw the images and the mixed reactions in the crowd and took it for poor taste. When he saw Lil D's tag, he knew it was poor taste and became livid on behalf of those grieving.

"They should rebrand his ass Lil' Shit." he muttered quietly. A thought occurred to him and he searched the crowd for the other one that spoke out at the house, Miles.

Miles was looking up at the fireworks display as well; it so garish in contrast with the solemn vigil that it was hard not to notice it.

There seems to be some chanting going on towards the rear of the assembled vigil crowd. People are turning their heads as it grows louder.

As they observe the divide between youth and the older folks becomes more evident s the youth bracket, under twenty or so, is mostly pretty hawed by the spectacle the older folks just don’t get it or find it garish.

The Elite said to his young fans, “I feel you all Disaster Fam, so hear me when I say if you hurt one member of the Disaster Fam, you hurt us all, and no one fucks with the Disaster Fam and gets away wit' it. You know it’s true… that’s how Lil Disaster do!”

He raised his hand to his ear and in semi-almost-unison they chant back, “But the D ain’t little!”

He continued, “Whoo… whoo… so fuck them haters. I ‘m givin’ 10 ‘gs to the owners and for the fallen Lil D Fam, I started a gofundme, I already donated 15 g’s, because the Disaster Fam always lookin’ out. Spread the word, and everyone that hits my IG and shares this will have a chance to win a tour of the Elite Academy with yah boy, Lil Disaster. Fuck them haters, you know I’ll do it!”

The youths are eating this up, well the majority of them.

Camilo's eyebrows furrowed when he heard the young fans call out. He turned to Miles, "Is this what they call the humiliation kink? Maybe we should not engage, it would make me feel dirty." He looked on as the younger fans seemed to be there not for the vigil, but for Lil Disaster. "How are their parents okay with this? If meu mamãe caught me watching someone like this, I think she would beat me with the jumper cables."
