"Which one? The moving part or the coming alone part? Because one of those was a question I'm not really comfortable answering and the other seemed like more of a suggestion."

This appeared to be the perfect opportunity to throw this woman off-balance, and so Frankie concentrated on... *something weird*... happening to her.

"How about, I answer your question, and you answer mine, yeah?"

“So what’s with the mustache, it’s kind of cool init,” she said staring at it. “You know, I’m between boyfriends, I was dating Michael Bay, he was a fiery angel guy, but too religious for me. But you could take me out, yeah.”

She spoke while waving the pistol around in an excellent exercise of poor trigger control.

Delicately tweaking his waxed mustache with his fingertips, Camilo replied somewhat defensively, "Claro it is cool, muito másculo e elegante." He looked a bit disgusted, "Michael Bay, he is a old man. No? Very old movies, lots of fiery explosions."

The woman does not seem to react but instead just sighed saying something in Chinese again as she tries to rip a generous amount of blood out of Frankie’s sturdy body with her mind. Just normal every day things you do as a Brass Orchid enforcer.

This was the part of the job Crimson enjoyed.

OOC: Crimson Will save vs DC 18 | 1d20+9 ⇒ 26 she makes the save. Perception based attack, vs. Fortitude save at DC 19 as she rips blood directly from the body. If it fails make a DC 24 Toughness save for the damage and a Fortitude DC save at 18 or be attack Impaired, so a -2 on attack checks.

She frowned as... nothing seemed to happen. Or at least, nothing that *Frankie* had intended to happen. Instead, she started to bleed from her eyes and ears. Which was surprisingly unpleasant, unsurprisingly; wait, no, unsurprisingly surprisingly unpleasant? No that still doesn't work.

Let's just say it sucked.

"Ow! Wot the bloody hell yeah?"

It was at that point that she made an executive decision. The kind of split-second thinking that would surely crack the case. She thought about that important looking door she'd seen. Behind which... well, presumably, *important* stuff might be hidden, yeah? And then, poof, reality cracked around, and she was *gone*. With any luck, blood-bending lady had no clue where she'd gone off to. Inside of whatever room lay on the other side of the door.

Or perhaps she thought Frankie had turned into a fish. Because there was a fish that fell through an open skylight right at that same moment. Frankie had meant for it; or something like it; to hit the woman. The universe had briefly considered to hit Frankie with it instead, but the universe had taken a little too long to decide and by the time it decided against it, the fish was already in free-fall.

It fell onto the floor where Frankie had been and flopped around. Looking up at the woman and going: "Kill me."

Outside the Black Market

From the outside there is a sudden buzz of activity and the place seems to be on high alert. Something has happened inside.

But what? Oh ad Frankie’s pistol just vanished from her hands.

Inside with Bee Haw

Image
She sees Frankie starts bleeding and then she disappears leaving behind possibly a fish? It’s weird. But now the place was on high alert and the customers inside are looking frantic as the gangsters and Brass Orchid start looking for the woman.

The Enforcer in red knelt down and seemed to dab at the blood and then taste it.

Bloody Frankie

Frankie appeared inside a room with lots of filled aquariums, and exotic fish and associated animals. The lights overhead flicker, and then an alarm goes off inside that flashes red. There are two doors, it is unclear of the orientation of the room but one reads exit in Amharic over the door. The other is unlabeled.

Inside is a young kid with a mop trying to keep the floors cleaned. He looked up at the alarm with confusion.

Bea watched in absolute horror as the woman attacked with a blood power instead of the gun. She hadn't been bluffing. She'd hurt Frankie! And Bea hadn't realized in time to stop her. Oh no!

But then Frankie completely vanished. (Bea would know if Frankie moved to any room with a bee watching. But, absent that, she had no idea of Frankie's range. She could be on the moon. At no time did it occur to her that a person who could teleport would go anywhere but safely out of the building.)

But the important thing was that Frankie was safe. Probably.

And this woman was a confirmed Blood Orchid criminal! Who had attacked!

The very sort of criminal who might have information about Blood Orchard evil-doings!

She had to try, right? And then probably get out of there. (Or was it better to wait for the boss looking guy to come out? No, who knew what would happen next. Probably best to get something from a 100% confirmed villain than wait for a guy who might only be wealthy and Chinese which was not a crime. And then get the heck out of there.) At least the woman was pretty distracted. Right?

"Eight wings. I saw the contestant with six angelic wings, but not eight. What are the odds of two Elites with angelic forms?" Camilo mused. Then activity picked up and Frankie II's gun disappeared.

"It seems you will get your wish. We will be going inside and it will not be boring." He heads over to the only entrance he is aware of.

Alarms! Flashing red! And here she was, already wiping the red from her eyes.

"Oi kid, get outta here, yeah?" She told him, pointing at the door with the sign. She couldn't read Amharic, but exit signs were exit signs, yeah? Anyway, the fish were cool and all, but not really what she was looking for, so she decided to try door number two. And rather than wait to see if it was locked, she just decided to teleport to the other side of it.

The main entrance has several gangster chatting at each other and tensions seem high. One shouts at the group as they approach. The police officer just watched leaning back on her card the other is still on their phone inside but don’t look up.

A muscular man takes charge, he is shirtless holding a rifle and said in accented English, “Hey outsider, piss off eh. Closed.”

The woman’s thoughts are disciplined as she is focused on finding the Elite, she is particularly annoyed because Wah Shen the son of a major big wig in Shanghai is here visiting which has everyone a bit on edge. Thankfully the police have been paid off to keep the peace while they deal with this problem.

The Enforcer looks up and her eyes settle on the bees and she shouts to her people in Amharic, “Disperse the bees, flies, anything flying… I want it dead! Find that laowhai, now!”

She appeared back in the main area of the Black Market, she could see guards looking for her plus the woman in red about fifty feet away ordering her people to find her. She narrowed her eyes at Frankie and for a brief moment cracks of reality form around Crimson and suddenly she is a great deal closer, maybe too close.

But not like invading space close, but too close for comfort.

She had good information! Upsetting information! But that's what they'd come for. And she had it. But now she was in danger, and best they got out of there.

And this woman had figured out about bees, which wasn't good. Still, bees were hard to see in a chaotic dark place, and could slip through small places that people could not follow.

And there was Frankie! Still here? Oh. But she could teleport out, yes?

(Can she scatter, bees going out through vents, windows, door, etc?, maybe taking advantage of folk at door as a distraction? A stealth roll, maybe?)

The man is flummoxed at the angry Camilo and then opened the door and said, “Be quick about it!”

He got on the radio and said in Amharic, “Got someone going in, lookin’ for his girl!”

The bees can easily scatter, they are bees and they are more concerned with the teleporting maniac.

"Oooh... now... I know you're angry... but really, I'm the one who should be angry yeah? Look at my face! Actually, don't. Bye!"

And with that she used up her valuable action to teleport back outside, to where she assumed the others were. It was a shame she couldn't get a clown car in here to squash this woman, but she wasn't really feeling the multitasking right now.

Bea re-formed around the corner and hurried up to the front door, having observed Camilo's heroic ploy to get inside and potentially help them.

"Have you seen a handsome man with a magnificent mustache? Brazilian accent? He was supposed to pick me up here after I finished shopping, and I don't see him. He'll be so vexed with me."

She is ready to play the part of the missing sweetheart to give him an excellent excuse to come back out.

A big hug! And then they can all escape!

(And his stern arguing at the door had been exactly the distraction she needed to sneak her last few bees out!)

Putting on his best arrogant young master face, Camilo started to take off into the building to look for the others and whatever trouble they might have gotten themselves into when he heard Bea. Walking faster than seemed possible, he was next to her putting possessive arm around her waist, "Meu amor. Are you alright?"

He turned angrily to the guard, "Que porra é essa. Get your house in order, babaca." Then proceeded to lead Bea away from the building.

She gave him a properly tight hug.

"I'm alright," she whispered, and then buried her face against his shoulder, leaning heavily against him, as if the ordeal had just been exhausting.

A little further distance, once they were well outside, she added: "We need to find Good Frankie. She teleported out but she's hurt! Hopefully, she's not far?"

Bea blushed.

"Sorry - I'm trying to tell you two apart and you were so awful about cops, only ... "

Her voice caught. This was a moral blow. Terribly troubling.

"You weren't wrong. Maybe. Maybe it's some kind of information gathering thing? But the Blood Orchid think they've paid off those cops who were out front." She sounded as devastated to learn that as she felt.

She needed to find Detective Nasir and tell him that part. Bad Frankie wouldn't want to hear that. But it still felt like the right thing to do.

(I mentioned trying to get their names and badge numbers. Up to storyteller if she has more than a description of them. Though I guess we may have video footage of them, too!)
