The family lived in n apartment complex, the gat buzzed him in and he could smell grilling coming from a central courtyard where the family was gathered under trees and on green grass. There were probably about twenty or so people of Ethiopian, Vietnamese, and mixed ethnicities of varying ages. There sat an old man playing chess with some younger kids by the main table where the food was being setup.

A young girl ran up to him, she had both Ethiopian and Vietnamese features similar to Hanh and said in Amharic, “Hello, who are you?” She smiled looking up at him with curiosity.

[Babble]

He smiled. "My name is Arturo. I'm a friend of Hanh's."

[Dapper Dog]

The little girl continued, “Oh, hi Artu… Artuso? So you are Hanh’s friend? Are you the special guest?”

[Babble]

"Probably." He nodded. "And, who are you?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Probably." He nodded. "And, who are you?"

"You can all me Dee," she responded. "So what's your special power? Hanh said the one who saved her had special powers."

"So what is it?"

[Babble]

"It's not that exciting." He chuckled. "I can speak any language."

"Can you shoot fire?" she sked.

[Babble]

"No. But, I can make my eyes glow." His eyes shined a bluish white for a moment.

[Dapper Dog]

"Now that's cool, do you know Paragon?" She asked.

"I do not." He shook his head. "But, I did briefly meet him."

Hanh approached and put her arms around Dee from behind and said, “Hey Arturo, this is Dee, my cousin. My nosey, nosey cousin. I hope she behaved. Glad you made it. My family is grilling and getting the dinner together… it’s going to be a lot, and I am sorry in advance.”

“Can I get you anything, a beer… water before I take you around for introductions. Everyone wants to meet my savior.”

Dee added, “He said he met Paragon!”

Hanh said, “Yeah, of course he did, he’s a hero.”

"A beer would be nice." He smiled. He offered her a box. "I made empanadas. It is good to see you Hanh."

[Dapper Dog]

"Dee go bring our guest a beer, and I can introduce you to the family," she said. She gestured to a large Vietnamese man with a thick torso a and semi muscular build with an obvious prosthetic right leg and left arm, and said, "That's my dad he fought in the Chinese-American War, and he met my mom while I guess deployed to the African front, or something. There is my grandpa and those are my cousins..." she starts listing off the family and finished just as Dee returned with a beer.

"So let's go say hello."

[Babble]

"Thank you, Dee." He took the beer and followed Hanh, greeting everyone.

The family warmly received him and then the questions flow. An older aunty, “So are you a real Elite?” Another cousin, “You ever fought anyone cool? Or famous?” Another family member, “So are you her elite boyfriend?”

Hanh rolls her eyes at the last question.

Dee adds, “He has glowing eyes!”

[Babble]

"There were a dew thugs back in the Philippines, but the threat on Monday was the most dangerous I've encountered." He explained. "Honestly, I'm not much of a fighter yet. My abilities are language based."

[Dapper Dog]

Her father welcomed him and said, “So you’re the man that saved my daughter’s life?”

He dipped his head humbly. "I am glad I was there."

“Me too, she’s my baby-girl, you showed courage that ain’t common, Arturo. My family, me, personally, am thankful you brought her back to us. We know many others did not have that luxury. Just damn glad we got Elites like you and Tsehay Moqe in our city,” he said with relief giving the young Elite a mighty bear hug of gratitude.
