She was in the gym, training. Training? Well, mostly just running around doing backflips and occasionally hitting training dummies with random objects. It was kind of hard to do the *real* training; because that required some *real* targets, who could potentially get hurt. But hey, she could at least do cool backflips in the meantime.

Iris waves as she enters. The elite had seen Frankie's ninja skills from across campus and had decided a workout would be much more entertaining if someone was doing backflips and slapping the heads off dummies with chickens.

"How's the ninjutsu goingf?"

Plonking herself down on a bench she deposits a bag before starting a pre-workout stretch.

"Eh, it's fine. I can't really test my powers, though. Just the backflips and punching. Which aren't powers. Hey, I'm curious... can you like, *see* me when I'm being all invisible? Not that I'm really going invisible yeah?"

Iris winces as she feels a twinge in her back, okay, more sleeping in actual positions this evening.

“Uhh. Hmm. Dunno?”
She gingerly twists left and right a few times until there’s a satisfying pop.
“I try really hard not to spy on roommates, makes everyone more chill. But I’m happy to give it a go? If it’s some kind of ‘people ignore you’ power I might see you but not ‘see’ you?”

"It's not a power, it's just me hiding, yeah? Like, would you win at hide and seek every time no matter how good someone's hiding spot is?

For a moment Iris looks completely baffled at the idea of someone just being a mundane ninja.

“Hiding spots probably wouldn’t help unless they used some kind of psychic powers or something. But maybe if you were blending in movement wise with a background? Like…”

She fishes for an analogy.
“Like being in kelp underwater and following it with the current. I’m not omniscient so I dunno? Maybe a really good ninja could sneak past? Maybe they already have?”

Frowning.
“I don’t know what I don’t know. Other than cover and stuff not helping. It would have to be pure skill I guess.”

"Alright, let's try it!" She zoomed off, and then went mundane ninja mode as she tried to sneak up on Iris

An eye opens on the back of Iris' neck and swivels down to look at Frankie.

"You're behind that cart of dumbbells. That wheel isn't even wobbly, was that you making that sound?"

She stands and starts stretching her quads.

"Pretty ninja though. Did someone teach you or were you always this sneaky?"

"But I hiding so good! So wait..." she got up sheepishly from behind the cart, "...you saw me this morning too? Don't tell anyone I took two pastries yeah? I'm pretending to be on a diet."

Of course, there *were* cameras here too, filming this conversation, so the secret was going to get out regardless.

"But anyway, I mean... I guess I just learned over time yeah? Where II come from it's all very like... you either dodge stuff or you hide from stuff so you won't have to dodge it, yeah? And I'm pretty good at both."

[Iris Pythia]

"But I hiding so good! So wait..." she got up sheepishly from behind the cart, "...you saw me this morning too? Don't tell anyone I took two pastries yeah? I'm pretending to be on a diet."

Of course, there *were* cameras here too, filming this conversation, so the secret was going to get out regardless.

"But anyway, I mean... I guess I just learned over time yeah? Where II come from it's all very like... you either dodge stuff or you hide from stuff so you won't have to dodge it, yeah? And I'm pretty good at both."

"Hey, first rule of super-senses, no snitching. Your secret is safe with me."
Now, if Frankie had taken the last muffin, then there might have been snitching.

"Where you come from...England?"
Iris thinks back to a hazy trip to London as a child to see the Elgin Marbles and then angrily complain abut them over some quality Indian food.

"I hadn't realised it had gotten so bad, did the leveling up end up not working?"
She heads over and grabs some weights out of the cart and starts slowly working on her upper body...they were not big weights.

"Oh yeah, you weren't at the meeting yeah? The one just now? Where I explained I'm from a different universe and that both mine and this universe is going to explode in a few months?"

She sounded pretty casual about it; but that was because Frankie was Frankie, and kind of used to this sort of stuff.

"Anyway yeah, so that's a thing. I was going to keep it a secret yeah? But everyone knows now, or well almost everyone, so it'd be kind of weird to keep hiding it."

"Oh yeah, you weren't at the meeting yeah? The one just now? Where I explained I'm from a different universe and that both mine and this universe is going to explode in a few months?"

She sounded pretty casual about it; but that was because Frankie was Frankie, and kind of used to this sort of stuff.

"And you just announced that on live TV?"
Iris pauses.

"That's kinda messed up. Kinda cool, but also kinda messed up."
With a grunt she starts curling the weights.
"Huh, I wonder what would happen to me if he universe blew up." Frowning. "Well, it probably won't. So, what's the deal with your universe? Is everyone English there? Is that why it's going to blow up? Some kind of cosmic balance thing?"

"Huh... maybe that's why she was upset?" Frankie contemplated that for a moment, "But also, they edit this stuff don't they? But also, while things seem a little quieter over on this side... i'm sure you guys have had stuff like this happen before, right? There's like a big crisis and then someone comes in and saves the day, yeah?"

She didn't seem too concerned about the possibility that she might've just caused a mass global panic. Which probably wouldn't happen anyway because of course most people wouldn't believe her anyway. Right?

"But no. Of course not everybody is English there. Just English people. Which technically I'm not because London is separate from England yeah? At least where I'm from. I'm a Londoner. And anyway, it's going to blow up because I'm here. Basically."

"Huh... maybe that's why she was upset?" Frankie contemplated that for a moment, "But also, they edit this stuff don't they? I mean, there's been plenty of crises. Actually blowing up the universe is more rare. It tends not to happen very often, which probably explains why it still exists."

She puffs and lowers the waits before switching her routine.

Iris shoots Frankie a quizzical look.
"So, you're going to blow up the universe? And you're taking multiple pastries? That's not cool."

"I mean, mate, no, Londoners did the remaining yeah, it was the others that did the leaving. And no, I'm not the one doing the blowing up. It's just... complicated, yeah? Oh... which reminds me... if I gave you like a name of a person yeah? Or maybe like, a picture of someone so you can recognize them yeah? Could you then like, find them? With your super sight I mean, yeah?"

She punctuates this with a little 'plink' as she sets the weights back down and towels then off.

"Sure does sound complicated. Hope you can figure out how not to blow it up on account of all the people in it. A name would be tough, I'd have to read the lips and like, name tags of everyone within a 10 miles radius, would be a hell of a headache. A picture is doable so long as you have a rough location. Like I can't look into London from here yet until I figure out the atmospheric refraction trick."

Iris moves over to a punching bag and starts strapping up her hands.
"But if it's important I can probably find 'em. Who's the lucky target?"

"Scotland too yeah? An Ireland's whole. Wales is just what it's always been," she said, but quickly moved on, taking out a phone out of... well, thin air. This time, her phone had a prominent 'NOPIA' branding visible on it. She then spent a little while figuring out how it worked; because phones were just annoyingly different in every universe; and then came up with a picture of Eric Gibson (pictured here: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=143 ) and showed it to her.

"Definitely 100%. No, 110%. No, 200% and then some." She nodded, "We need to like, know his routine and stuff yeah? And like if he's doing any weird science type stuff. That sort of thing. The universe depends on it."

All the eyes close except for a small one in her forehead that starts slowly swiveling and focusing and unfocusing.

"I'm not like a scientist so...what...what kind of science stuff am I looking for?...Wait what kind of scientist is he? Like a weapons scientist? He blows up the universe? Or he accidentally makes a black hole?"

She pinches her nose, that physics gen-ed had not covered this.
"Does he blow everything up on purpose, or accident? That seems important."
