[Pregame - Monday the 9th - MM] The Office (Closed)

[Bemnet Tegele]

Bemnet closed his eyes as he listened to the Elite give his piece on the reality project. Sure it was unconventional but it was the shot in the arm the UNJE needed to reach a younger and more diverse demographic, give people a chance to see that Elites were just like them, well almost.

They just needed a good face for the promotionals.

He responded, “I hear your concerns, but the numbers don’t lie. Our presence has shot up fifteen percent since the announcement and projections are showing that Elite Academy is trending across North America, Europe, and Asia; nearly matching interest across the AU. It’s going to be huge.”

Bemnet added, “Just have some patience.”

[Paragon]

“I am not impressed,” Paragon responded as he looked down at the open reception area from the one way window of the office.

“This is going to blow up in our faces, have you seen this prospective list of contestants. Its bullocks is what it is. Wait who is that?” he asked looking down at the students and staff doing registrations and orientation.

[Dapper Dog]

ADINA chimed in, “Galatea, super model from Brazil. She wants to attend the Institute and Elite Academy, I am building a course plan for her now. Completed. I am unable to find any information before her appearance, I can do a deeper dive but I have delivered all relevant information to your mobiles.”

“Shall I direct her to your office Mr. Tegele?”

[Bemnet Tegele]

Bemnet chuckled as he watched Paragon and said, “Send her up immediately. I believe we have found one of our keynote faces for the promotional campaign. I assume you are staying, Paragon?”

[Paragon]

Paragon turned to look at Bemnent, his glowing eyes said volumes. He added, “Make her wait fifteen minutes.”

[Galatea]

It took a moment but eventually the secretary opened the office's doors, letting Galatea in. The supermodel did so while passing a hand through her luscious hair, setting a few loose strands back in position. Her strut was wortyhy of a catwalk.

The secretary was thanked before the golden woman turned to face who was clearly the man she was supposed to meet...and...Paragon?

She might have been surprised but she didnher best not to skip her stride

"Thank you for receiving me on such a short notice mister Tegele." She turned her smile to Paragon "Mister Paragon? I hope I am not interrupting anything?"

[Paragon]

Paragon was wearing a custom made suit, the designer was an Elite named Negra, just Negra and dark fitted suit was easily in the six figure range. If he seemed bothered he did not show it, a six figure watch poking out of the sleeve in a tasteful way. His glowing eyes focused on Galatea and he said calmly, “Not at all, but you have me at a disadvantage, miss?”

[Galatea]

Paragon responded, “Welcome to the UNJE Institute, Galatea.”

[Bemnet Tegele]

Bemnet said, “Well Galaea, your public persona is impressive, and I think your brand would synergize with the UNJE. If I had known you were interested before now my team could have worked with yours to make a more comprehensive advertising blitz. But we can rectify that.”

“ADINA forward a standard NDA, Branding license, and Likeness agreement for Elite Academy to Galatea. If your team is open to the idea maybe drum up some interest with a few public appearances? Sporting events trend well with our target demographics, care to take in a football game?”

[Galatea]

Paragon responded, “Welcome to the UNJE Institute, Galatea.”

''Thank you sir Paragon'' she glanced at the window ''I did not expect things to go this well nor this fast but it is an honor to be here.''

''Oh my! Down to business allready?'' her tone was sooth, somewhat coy, but her eyes were analytic ''Still I am glad for the compliment.''

She took the freedom to sit on one of the chairs

''Now, now, mister Tegel. Let me read the NDA, my agent is not here with me so I would be glad if I could ask a few questions about it should the need arise.''

[Paragon]

Her mobile beeped with a message from ADINA.

Paragon intervened, “Take your time, Mr. Tegele is a business first kind of person.” The Elite took a seat across from Galatea forming a triangle between the three in the office. He continued, “But, I am sure Mr. Tegele will answer any and all questions.”

[Galatea]

Galatea acted her part as a slightly overwhelmed but good natured and trusting woman used with mostly looks on her side.

Unlike Tegele she was more careful with the cards in her hand

She always had been her own agent but letting others believe that she was getting strung along let them imagine being able to be the one doing it. She did not know her interlocutors put the pattern was not unfamiliar in that sense.

She read the NDA carefully and asked questions designed to further the aforementionned act, trying to get more information about the situation.

[Bemnet Tegele]

Bemnet answered her questions and even at one point brought in an on-staff lawyer on virtual to review the finer details. Bemnet while savvy was also a cis-hetero male who seemed quite taken with her and willing to do that little extra to make sure she understood. It was just inches short of patronizing, he was still professional but only just so.

For his part Paragon sat in silence allowing Bemnet to work.

By the end it seemed they had hashed out the finer details. Bemnet was satisfied and eve seemed excited to have her on board with the project.

[Galatea]

Galatea played with a few loose strands of hair while listening to the information given, appearing grateful, and nodded from time to time.

''I think I understand.'' She finally said ''But I have a concern: I have always been told that sometimes in showbusiness more is less and..well...that's how my agent explained my appearances to date. Would'nt a media Blitz risk...hum...overexposure?''

[Paragon]

“It would,” Paragon responded.

“Let’s put a pause on any blitz, and let things grow organically. Too much will just look we are trying too hard.” He rose to his feet and said, “I think I should be going Mr. Tegele, Galatea.”

“ADINA send Galatea the UNJE Branding contacts if she has any other suggestions or concerns and keep me in the loop.”

ADINA complied sending Galatea the contact info.

[Galatea]

''I do believe someone already made a tik-tok about my arrival a few minutes ago.'' she chimed in before Paragon rose to leave.

She rose as well to be polite but as she did she slapped her hands together, having clearly had an idea.

''Oh! Speaking of trying hard...there is something my agency had proposed but we never got to try it out.'' She did not wait and spilled her idea with pleasant enthusiasm. ''You could try hard denying that I am here or participating in your show.''

[Paragon]

Paragon paused to hear what Bemnet would say.

[Bemnet Tegele]

Bemnet mulled that over and said, “Well not exactly ideal, not terrible either if we got some footage out there dining around. We could play the deny game, and be cheeky about it. Could go either way. We can try it, maybe just refuse to comment one way or the other. Plausible deniability.”

[Galatea]

Galatea smiled impishly

''Oh there is more to it then that...'' she stopped herself while cocking her head ''...you know, why don't you let me handle most of it before things become official? Just keep things under wraps for now and I'll call in a few favors to create some effervescence.''

She began texting to someone

''Oh...can you tell me about the other contestants? I think I can do something for them as well.''
