"Telling the Justice Elite about this does seem important. It's a lot at stake."

She took note of his words about the local police too. "Did the local law - who did you talk to? - did they talk about what was involved in getting licensed? I know the Oklahoma City process. But it might be quite different here. And I thought it was partially covered by our Elite Academy role. But maybe ... only really official stuff the Academy asks us to do?"

"It has?" She blinked, "But it's still here!"

Camilo hadn't even considered licensing. He just supposed the Institute would've taken care of those things for the competition... better get on that so he wasn't on the wrong side of things later. His original intent had been to scout things out and confirm before raising alarms to the official JE. Sure he'd hoped doing so would help him in the competition, but there wasn't nothing wrong with that, aside from maybe breaking a few laws and treatises.

"I'm more in favor of acting than observing. That's what Justice Elite are supposed to do. No? If we can't act officially or if it's to big for us, we absolutely need to get the big players involved."

Jun-Min said, "Seeking a provisional license would be really helpful if we are going to keep crossing these more dangerous organizations."

"How do we get the provisional license? I had assumed we had something for the competition. Maybe I should have read all the paperwork better. No?"

"Like, that stupid show with the bazinga that nobody watches?" She blinked at other Frankie, then looked back at the others.

"Licenses? We don't need no... wait, *do* we need licenses? Isn't that going to take like a lot of time and work? What if we don't have time?"

"How do we get the provisional license? I had assumed we had something for the competition. Maybe I should have read all the paperwork better. No?"

“The Elite Academy will cover actions that are done in the line of the show, but that is mostly for liability concerns not an actual license,” Jun-Min explained.

That was... painfully obvious. Camilo responded with a blank stare. The only reason he didn't facepalm was because his mustache did nothing wrong and didn't deserve the abuse.

"Detective Nasir is who we talked to," Miles volunteered. "He's the one to talk to about the license process. I got the idea that he didn't need a bunch of Elites getting underfoot, but if the alternative is all of reality getting destroyed, I guess he needs to be OK with it."

"So... hypothetically, how would that work? Is it gonna be a lot of work?"

"I think it requires working with the detective for a few cases," Miles said. "Just to make sure we have some training and that we're not some kind of murder-hobos. Nasir could tell us more if we want to get serious about it."

"That is a pretty low bar to be licensed. No? Or is this one of those things that elite do to keep the baselines happy?"

"Oh you mean like that game? Murder Hobo 2?"

"It's a little like a driver's license. You need to know the rules of the road. What is legal in each city and community in which you operate. And how to work effectively in coordination with local services - like law enforcement, emergency response, etc."
