“Oh for sure,” he said handing over his contact details. “Iris, that name is sleek. Call me Markus, not Mark… Markus.”

One of Iris' eyes twitches, and then another, and then a flutter of eyes on her cheek.

"No, old fashioned, analog. Maybe I'll explain why at some point, Markus."

She whips out her own device and saves his info with a couple taps.

One moment she wasn't there...

...the next she was flailing wildly and letting out a startled scream as she fell, possibly from the ceiling. Somewhere up there, anyway. Just falling like she often did. Wait, so why was she screaming? This was going to be just fine like it alwa--

she landed on the ground face first, coming to a sudden stop; as one tends to do under these circumstances.

"Ow," came a verbal reaction, a few seconds later as she lay there; right in the middle of the room with all these people around.

“So Markus you’re going to want to invest in some headgear if your body isn’t naturally resistant to people landing on you.”

"Never thought I'd get to experience the absolute joy of a Ethiopian summer." Raul says as he entered the building, confident that nobody had ever uttered those words aloud before. Miami was hot in the summer, sure, and without a doubt had its humidity too, but you had the ocean nearby to cool off nearby. No such luck here in landlocked Ethiopia. Hot and humid with no relief but in the great indoors.

The humidity here was just something else; hard to believe that people used to live here before all the big air-conditioned buildings. His shirt was clinging to him as he entered the building while he looked around for where to register for classes and would begin to approach one of the terminals when he was stopped by the sudden free-falling woman from seemingly nowhere, now currently lying on the ground like she was a cartoon character from a century ago.

Raul sighed and rolled his eyes, knowing he should probably do the nice thing and pick her up, so he chose to float over to her before letting his feet touch the ground and extended his hand to the body spread out on the floor. "¿Eres un ángel que cayó del cielo o algo así?" He stared at her a lot longer before speaking in English. "Need some help up or are you cozy there, chica?"

She was continuing to do the laying on the ground face down after a fall, like those century old cartoons.

"It's... surprisingly cozy," came a muffled voice.

Another second or two passed before she suddenly pushed herself up and looked around.

"Wait, where *am* I? This isn't where I was going. Are we in Spain?"

[Gauss]

He moved his hand back to his side and floated up once more. His more American accent a bit more clear than before now that he stopped speaking Spanish. "Going to take your word for it on how the floor feels lying on it, chica. I'm in the business of doing my best not to be doing that often." He stares out blankly, not really looking at her, per say, but the surroundings for a long moment before tilting his body and floating to the side until he stopped. "Your in Ethopia at the moment and...North's right there so...Spain is..." he tilts again and stretches is arm slightly to the right. "...straight down that direction, just about five thousand miles, give or take. "

[Frankie Reynes]

"Is it?" she blinked, following the arm stretch. "But that's so far away! It'll take me like, a bloody hour to get there! I can't be bothered with that..."

She blinked again, "...wait, I wasn't going to Spain anyway, so never mind."

She looked around again. Let's see... girl with golden skin. Check. Holograms. Check. Girl with camera... so that's what that flash was. Check. Floaty guy. Check. Sci-fi looking surroundings, check. All seems pretty normal. Other than the fact she was in Spain. No wait, Ethiopia. She definitely wasn't dressed for Ethiopia, given the sweater she was wearing.

"So..." she turned back to floaty guy, "*Why* am I in Ethiopia?"

“Analog, that’s legit. I had a grandpa on my mom’s side that did something like that, called it a polaroid. It was like an instant camera thing, ancient tech,” he responded.

“Just got a big brain, but my body is pretty baseline,” he joked. “Is people falling on you a real thing?”

[Gauss]

"Spain kind of sucks, anyway."

He widened his eyes with her question and stared at her with a deadpan look. " Suppose you're here for...class? Or the reality show? Or just a fan of horrible humidity. Got lots of options to choose from, so probably best to pick one that sounds right."

[Frankie Reynes]

"Spain sucks? Since when?" She asked with a confused look on her face, with one of those accents that was definitely from somewhere on the British Isles.

"Oh yeah, all the British tourists, innit? Hate those, they ruined Ibiza," she answered her own question, seemingly not seeing the irony in what she was saying, "Wait? Class? Reality show?"

She looked around at their surroundings again. "Oh, is this like a TV set? Knackers."

[Galatea]

“Customization is always possible, Galatea,” she responded. To the question about the advisor the hologram said, “Kim Jun-Min is an experienced Elite advisor, she has been with the Institute since we opened our doors. You are in good hands and I have already added you to her appointment schedule, she says she is looking forward to discussing your academic and professional goals in great detail.”

Galatea gave the AI projection her best of smiles

"I guess so. I just happen to lose a bout there, so just blaming the country instead. Makes it easier, I guess."

Raul opened his mouth again to speak, but closed it and took in a little air. "No, this is reality TV. Pretty sure England has them." He thought for a moment and shook his head, coming up with a blank. He did know a few ones his Mami watched while hitting the bottle of wine every night.

"Look, ever hear of the show True Stories of Housewives: Kansas City or Castaway? Maybe even The Fantastic Relay? They just stick a camera person on you and follow you around. No set needed."

She blinked again. "Never heard of 'em. But it's like Survivor: Croydon, innit? That final season was pretty banger. No surprise it got cancelled after that, though."

"So uh... I don't see any cameras though. Well except that one girl over there but I'm pretty sure that isn't the kind of camera they use on a tv show. Also what's with the holograms? Also, I don't remember signing anything. Don't they need permission to film us or anything? I definitely didn't sign anything. Did I?"

Galatea had taken seat on a high chair, legs crosses, while reading the documents Adina had sent her with a degree of amusement until she was called inti the office

Thousand Miles kept his phone camera trained on Galatea, except for a few moments when he spun to catch a shot of the white girl who fell from the ceiling. Finally as the supermodel left the area, he turned the camera back on himself and declared, "So that's what it's like here on orientation day at the UNJE Institute. I'll be filming throughout the upcoming contest, so be sure to check out my next video!"

Tapping the controls to stop recording, Miles checked over the recording and made some quick edits before posting it to social media.

“Good morning Frankie, you seem to be in distress how can I assist? Is there an issue with your schedule or do you require directions? I am not detecting any serious harm to your body but I can direct you to the medical personnel if you need,” the hologram appeared and stated.
