“If the symbiote fits, you must acquit,” the Professor said to the classroom. “Now, you may be wondering what all this has to do with evidence, but I ask you this fellow human. If you rupture my skin sack, do I need leak blood… or blood like matter?”

“Blood is very interesting, right? Most of us have it. It could be inside you right now, moving… flowing… going into that beating knot of flesh and muscle in your chest. But what if you remove it? What then? Philosophically, it would probably be bad.”

Camilo had been in the back of the class clicking frantically at his handheld. Surely he must be misunderstanding, but the translator was saying the same thing. Then the professor asked for an interpretive dance again.

Standing up and moving a few chairs and tables out of the way, Camilo did his best samba with a few capoeira moves mixed in. He didn't know what the professor was looking for or how to interpret it into dance even if he did know, what he did know was how to dance.

There was a pause, then a shake of the head.

"That's not my name" she repeated with an even colder tone than before "and I'm not a student in this school or in this lesson. I'm here to watch."

She was late! Late to class! And the only thing to do in a situation like that was to just skip class altogether. No wait! Ninja her way in and pretend she was there all along!

Which totally worked. Probably. Except it also meant she wasn't paying attention to who the professor was. Until recognition was there. Undeniably so.

So she looked, saw other frankie, and stealthed her way over to be seated next to her.

"Bruv... you seein' this? What's going on?" She whispered to other Frankie.

Camilo proudly brushed his mustache and then hurriedly checked to see if his translation program has a record function. He had doubts about this professor, but maybe some of his promises could still be useful? Anything to cut down on his academic workload.

He felt a shudder run through him at the mention of being trapped. Luckily, there weren't any similar circumstances in the foreseeable future for Camilo. He was all for freedom and couldn't stand being restrained or trapped.

The conversation did give him pause over the new girl. He'd seen her around, but as she just mentioned was not a student. Very odd that she was allowed around the Institute. Maybe a plant from the UNJE to observe them?

“Now, who is ready for a pop quiz? Frankie, I saw you do that,” they added.

Galatea froze in shock when the symbiote was mentioned but was simply outraged when he exposed Shadow. She did not know much about her but she sure damn knew that whatever this dimwit said could put her in jeopardy.

''I don't know who you are or what you are doing here but you are clearly playing us for fools and I don't have time to waste.''

She stood up and walked over to Frozen Shadow

''Sorry darling, it seems that we've been served with a dud of a professor today but I can assure you things are not usually like this. If you want to come with me we can go inform the principal about this impostor and find you a proper class to observe.''

The woman approaching her and speaking to her shook her from the moment of anger that was bubbling in her. The voice also seemed familiar, and the hooded woman looked up at the other person.

"....Ok. Thank you" she managed to say with some amount of calmness, although she sounded on edge "I...think I should leave anyway."

The professor said, “Apologies, the world of law can be harsh, but it is a world we must all understand, just like why these flesh bag bodies are so hideous. Now Galatea, you can go, run away. But what if you stayed. Think of the secrets I could teach you, about yourself…”

Professor Mann then said in Portuguese, “Camilo, what happened in Sao Paulo, go.”

She'd missed his introduction as professor Hugh Mann, so she wasn't hip to his alter ego.

"I...I..." Raul began to gather his things, but placed them down and just watched the scene."I am so confused, but screw it, I need the credits."

"Uhh..." Camilo stumbled a moment after being called on. Sao Paulo. He'd only been to Sao Paul once. He switched to Portuguese in his response. "Listen to me, I tried my best to save that man. It took too long to get there and there wasn't anything I could do anymore. He was already dead." Inimigo do meu Inimigo had cut him off for weeks after that. They'd been pissed not being able to save one of the shot callers of the Amigos dos Amigos and took it out on Camilo. It was the first time he'd experienced withdrawal.

She had grown stronger since that time, it was better that he oriented his goading towards her then the girls who was clearly not prepared for it.
